My maternal grandparents got together and created a Side-Eye Sorceress, Manmi. While no longer with us, my grandparents’ spirit and outlook on life continues to guide how I move through my own, esp re. my creative projects. “Things was all good just a week ago!” It’s been a week since Candice & I found out we had to postpone the wedding. Honestly, this has been one of the weirdest and toughest weeks for me. I mean I have an emotional bride on my hands people and I usually can fix her problems, this one I can’t fix. We appreciate all the calls and texts that we have received just checking on us. But I have to publicly recognize our friends man! I appreciate you all for cheering Candice up (I had no more tricks left in my bag lol)! From FCJ, Mo and Steph sending us pies (which are gone peeps) 2 hours after they found out the wedding was off (don’t know how y’all got them to us that quick) to Carla, Beck, Jas, Sam, Phil, DO, Co, Mimi and Damien for throwing us a surprise home wedding and letting us walk down the aisle! We hold each and everyone of you in high regards under the Brandice roof, thank you! #TakesAVillage

Bald daddies + curly mommies = #TeamMiramar •

We have created amazing traditions, made incredible memories, and weathered many storms together (see what I did there, @sabdy_). The fact that we won’t be running up and down the sidelines of our boys sports games together with our cooler of “Capri-Sun’s” brings tears to my eyes (or maybe it’s just my allergies this morning)! Our city won’t be the same without both of our families in it, and the Chéry’s will miss you all immensely! We’re already planning for our summer trips to Portland. Maybe by then, the boys will actually pose for a good picture ... maybe not! Either way, we’re still coming! LOVE YOU!
