In honour of suicide awareness month I thought I’d share some of the truly beautiful things I would have missed if I hadn’t stayed. These are reminders that even amongst pain there is love and hope. You are never alone, please stay, there is still so much good left for you to discover. As always my DMs are open x

What an incredible experience! I have seen a few partial solar eclipses in my life but I was unprepared for what it was like to experience totality. And to experience in such a beautiful place with wonderful people was just the icing on the cake. Feeling very thankful today. What a wonder it is to be a tiny speck in this vast universe.

SUNDAY AT THE PALACE WITH SONDHEIM (THE OTHER PALACE)

⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

What a gorgeous way to spend a Sunday afternoon. This talented company out on a really heartfelt and inspiring tribute to some of the works of Stephen Sondheim and I could quite literally spend all of my Sunday afternoons in their company.

It opened with the highly entertaining Prologue from Into The Woods, giving the full ensemble a chance to shine. But it was Savannah Pinto who stood out with her vocally faultless rendition of the Cinderella track.

Other highlights from the afternoon include one of the great ‘Moments in the Woods’ performances from Jade Oswald - and I do not say that lightly, I’ve seen countless over the years. But Oswald’s attention to detail and natural ability to act through song shone through. Please someone send me the footage!

Merrily’s ‘Opening Doors’ was carried off to perfection, with the cast’s voices blending to really let the material sing. Shakira Rattray’s ‘Not a Day Goes By’ was emotive and special, while Jo Theaker’s ‘Ladies Who Lunch’ evoked a huge audience response.

For me, the showstopping moment was provided by Sydney Richards’ Mrs Lovett in ‘A Little Priest’. Her characterisation was stunning and, despite having seen the number done many times, had me in stitches. Exquisite.

The afternoon was brought to a close by the entire company singing the beautiful ‘Sunday’, leaving me wishing I could relive this Sunday afternoon at The Other Palace over and over again.

just really love my friends and family

enjoy a pic of me crying at the end for balance because Instagram is a highlight reel and not always a true depiction of real life
