Ok folks, tomorrow is the day and in celebration of EP Release Eve, I have to spotlight my captain of captains, @stephenwisemus ! It was back in 2012 @standavismusic invited me out to a gig he was doing with Stephen and @7dope. I got the nod to jump up and play guitar. It was that night Stephen and Doug offered the gig to play in the Edge band and my true schooling began. I thought I knew how to play, but the bar Stephen and Doug set elevated not only my playing but my overall purpose in making music. The last official gig we played was the first photo you see of us being silly back in Dec 2017. There have been a few gigs here and there and I know if I ever need sax on a track, Stephen will come through. He is featured on two tracks of the album - the prominent track being “Sunrise” where he lays down both beautiful harmonies and tasty lead. Truly a genius. I am blessed and grateful to spotlight him on this EP! 💙💙💙#captainmycaptain #saxplayer #bandleader #oldhead

This past year, I produced an EP for the guitarist Eric Gershenow from Philly.. We went into it questing for a sound, atmosphere and attitude.. we ended up with a very unique, powerful and evocative statement in guitar driven, instrumental music. Early September, will see it released on Modern Icon Recordings/ Ropeadope. Excited for you all to hear! Eric and I split up much of the instrumental duties but we had some cool guests too🤘: Tone Whitfield, Stephen Wise, Clay Stiles, Steven “Dash” Davis ..

Ok folks. I’m embarking on a “selfie” challenge to mark the count down of the release of my new EP on @ropeadope under @moderniconrecordings . For those who know me, I have a special loathing for selfies but releasing this EP is kind of a big deal for me and big deals come with a rights of passage. So, for the next 31 days, I’ll be posting daily with a new selfie until the official release date of Sept 4th. I do not guarantee they will be fabulous but unapologetically me, just like my EP. Huge thanks to @adrian_harpham for the many hours poured into producing these tracks, along with a stellar crew of musicians including my wingman @bassinyaface170 , Mr. @infernodash , @tone_whitfield , and my long time captain @stephen_wise_music dropping some serious saxophone. Can’t wait to share these tracks with you all! Xoxo

This is the first of many shipment to come with free clothes and a few household items for the communities most in need our communities of focus - they were hit hard with Hurricane Melissa.
📍Vineyard
📍Slip, Cataboo
Most persons in these communities worked and attending schools in
📍Black River , a major hub for work and schools in St. Elizabeth, Jamaica, has been severely impacted by Hurricane Melissa, leaving these communities cut off.
.
.

The storm caused widespread destruction, including damaged roads, power outages, and flooding, making it difficult for residents to access the supplies that they need just for day to day survival, the home-less population is at a all time high.
.
.
What we have seen and inquired about is how are persons living, one yard had 6 houses on it, only ONE is left standing so a small house is housing over 15 persons, the love and support for their community is so wonderful to see and how they look out for each other - THAT’S MY JAMAICA 🇯🇲.

Supporting these families with water, food, clothing and household supplies is just a start .

.
Thanks for pouring into us here @wisewellnessjamaica so we can support these communities.

🙏🏿🕉️🇯🇲💜🙏🏿 World Central Kitchen thanks for your support and dedication to helpin’ Jamaica land we love !

The community of Vineyard, Black River welcomed us with loveNd kidness. It’s very emotional for me to see the neighborhoods that have been cut off from BlackRiver since Hurricane Melissa ! The elders and the children are having a hard time coping.

The water continue to rise, I asked an elder why you don’t just leave ? She replied -“we nuh have nuh where to go !”

As we drove on down the lane we saw so many persons that have not received aid or any kind of assistance.

So much appreciluv for my team and the support behind @wisewellnessjamaica

To make this possible for us to be of service to these communities in need ! Ase 🙏🏿
