A glimpse into rehearsal for Super Duper Happy Immigrant Funtimeland by Damian Arteaga directed by Steve Llamas and one of the ceremonial moments woven into the production!

The body remembers.
Histories of sacrifice. Histories of survival. Histories that continue to repeat themselves through the harmful systems we live under today.
How will you survive?

Big Fish 🐠

This show was truly something magical. ✨ The story is beautiful, the music is whimsical—but what really brought the magic to life was the incredible group of people behind it all. This show takes so much heart, and our Big Fish family @alchemytheatre gave every ounce of it.

This production also pushed me in new ways. I took on my first understudy track while also handling a heavy ensemble/dancer role. I wasn’t sure my brain could juggle it all—but I proved to myself that I could. Thank you to @barrymadeit and @angie_uke for being so supportive with helping me through that. I’ve also been working on my tap dancing this year and felt pretty insecure about performing it in front of people… but leave it to the amazing @jen_kornswiet to push me out of my comfort zone 😂 I’m so proud of my little tap feature.

Thank you to everyone who came out to support. I feel so lucky to have such incredible friends and family who filled the seats every night of this run.

And to the Big Fish cast—what a truly lovely group of humans. I hope I get to share the stage with you all again soon. Daffodils all the way! 🌼

Join us March 13-29 at the Yorba Linda Cultural Arts Center for a larger-than-life musical adventure full of heart, humor, and legendary tales.

Edward Bloom has lived an unbelievable life, filled with witches, giants, mermaids, and true love that stops time in its tracks. When Edward’s health declines, his son Will who is about to be a father himself, insists on knowing the man behind the myth. Big Fish is a heartfelt, powerful, and truly magical musical about fathers, sons, and the stories that we use to define our legacies. With soaringly beautiful music and a funny heartwarming story, Big Fish is spectacular, fantastical, and overflowing with love.

Come see the story that’s bigger than life itself.
