In 6th grade, every Friday after school I would beg my parents to take me to our local running store in Austin. It was 2013, and Nike’s Flyknit shoes were all the rage. I was obsessed.

I would run laps around the store, trying on every color and only stopping to beg my parents for a pair.

Fast forward to last month, when I got to sit down with Phil McCartney, @nike Chief Innovation, Design and Product Officer. Phil was one of the pioneers behind Flyknit and now, one of the many talented people behind Nike’s renaissance.

Thank you @deniseegt @sandra.c.john and @stephpellitteri for welcoming the @latimesstudios crew into Nike’s NYHQ. And my brilliant team on this project, @gabemirigian , @theograyfilms , Dante, Harrison, and Michael.

Boca beach sessions ✨🤍

I left this mini session with so many new fun memories! It’s so rewarding to see how the photo and video in each session complement each other! Both are so unique in the way that the medium tells a story, and I feel so grateful to bring both to my sessions, especially family shoots! You really never know what you’re going to get and I absolutely love that.

Joy you can hear and moments you can feel ✨

After years of creating content for brands like Red Bull and Orangetheory, getting to capture families in their natural rhythm has become one of my favorite parts of this work. The laughter, the little sounds, the unposed moments — it’s all so special and insanely fun to capture!

These are the memories that make me love what I do (and occasionally make me tear up while editing 😂)

From Luca’s sweet little smiles to Bella’s nonstop adventuring, Steph and Luke’s littles had us smiling the entire session. There’s just something so special about beach shoots filled with this much joy, it’s impossible not to feel it right along with everyone 🫶
