It’s taken me a few days to write this without tearing up. I got to see some of my incredible students dance in their last recital as graduating seniors. AND see some of them as now outstanding choreographers. What a full circle moment.
🫶🏻
This was such a proud moment for me, to watch them from their first classes as they walked into my dance class at 6/7 years old and now have blossomed into such beautiful dancers and just beautiful souls inside and out.
Thank you girls for letting me be a small part of your journey. I can’t wait to see what God has in store for you all next. I love and admire each one of you and I’m so so proud of the people you have become.
.
I will always be cheering you on and praying for each of you in your lives. Love you girls. 🙏🏻🥹❤️

@lylahalissaa I didn’t get a picture with you- and I couldn’t find you after but you crushed on that stage and I’m so proud of you I could watch you tap all day. You and your sister @carnissa_tanai are such special people and I’m so glad I got to see you on stage again.

Ecclesiastes 3:4: “A time to weep and a time to laugh, a time to mourn and a time to dance.”

A year ago I would have told you that I hung my dance shoes and had lost my passion for dance entirely. This year, with the fullest heart, I get to disregard that statement and say that this was truly the best season of my life. Sometimes the best things come from taking a chance, and I took the chance to join Steppin’ Out Preforming Arts Center for my junior season. SOPAC swiftly became more than a place to dance, it became a home. SOPAC gave me unforgettable friendships, confidence, spectacular memories, and a season that I will forever hold close to my heart. This season helped to remind me of why I fell in love with dance in the first place.

Mrs. Heather, thank you for believing in me and pushing me to be a better dancer everyday. Working on my solo with you both challenged and inspired me in ways that I did not even know were possible, and because of that I have grown so much this season. You have helped me gain confidence in my abilities and become a stronger dance than I was when I first walked into the studio. 💗

Mrs. Autumn, thank you for always encouraging me, reminding me of my worth, and helping me to see the positive sides of life. Your support helped me to believe in myself again, and that’s is something that I will carry with me not only next season, but for my entire life. 💗

Miss Carni, thank you for pushing me this season in more ways than one. You helped me let go of the pressure that I constantly put myself under and showed me that growth comes from learning, not from being perfect. Because of you, I have been able to enjoy dance more and trust myself in a way that I never had before. 💗

My diamonds, thank you for welcoming me, supporting me, and making me feel like I belonged from the very beginning of the season. This season would not have been the same without the laughs, memories, encouragement, and friendships that we have built together. You guys helped me turn what could have been a difficult change into the best season of my life, and i am so grateful for every single one of you. 💎

Until next season 🎓💎💗
