Everyday Junglist Podcast with Cardiff producer & DJ, Stereoripe! Stereoripe’s mix in his words is a journey through all things reggae / ragga-jungle venturing into the dubby side of DnB. Stereo’ keeps returning to those amen rinse outs. An hour where the past meets the future, the present. Thank you SO MUCH again everyone who came to the Music Matters charity event for Papyrus. It was a great night, and we really appreciate people’s support.

Shout out to Debs and Alice for keeping me sane organising everything - there were many hiccups behind the scenes and I was absolutely nerve wracked 🤣

An extra big thank you to Rhys Stereoripe and Gary Tribal Dubs for providing belting tunes to keep people vibing and smashing it out of the park (lots of compliments!!!) and to special guest Minas who delivered an incredibly thought provoking and insightful speech which had people hanging on every word. This really got people talking to each other and opening up.

The JustGiving page is still open and will be for a few more weeks so if anyone else is able to spare a few quid, that would be amazing ☺️ link is in my bio

Music Matters – Charity Fundraiser for Papyrus

Friday 7th August - 21:00-00:00 - Free Entry

A night of electronic music in aid of Papyrus, a charity supporting those feeling suicidal. Suicide is now the biggest killer of young people under 35 and we want to raise awareness, encourage people to talk to each other and support each other, and raise some money.

Meet the DJs:
Stereoripe – Currently promoting his recent third album. Stereo will treat us to a Jungle set with old faves, new tuned and original productions.

Tribal Dubs – Skull Attack Records and previous Subtle Radio resident switches it up for a rare set of Acid House & Electro.

Khez – With extensive appreciation and knowledge of electronic music, expect an uplifting set full of D&B belters with a sprinkle of the classics to get you up and dancing.

Special Guest Minas will also be joining us to briefly talk about his group Brosb4lows which aims to uplift and provide hope through conversation for men in the Welsh music scene.

There will be donation boxes on the night along with some resources for mental health and wellbeing but if anyone can spare anything at all to this incredibly important cause, even if you can’t come along we would all appreciate it so much. Please see the link to the Just Giving page below.

Papyrus - ‘We’re a young person’s suicide prevention charity, which for us means much more than raising awareness.

We run HopeLine 24/7, available all year round for anyone in need of urgent, confidential support. We shape confronting, and lifechanging, conversations about suicide. We teach people how to spot the signs and intervene. We partner with communities and businesses; we influence policy; we speak, and learn, and grow. And above all else, we’re here. We’re always here. That’s how we save lives.’

Cardiff Dub Club returns this October with another heavyweight session – and this time we’re welcoming very special guests Sain Audio Soundsystem. Hailing from right here in Cardiff, Sain Audio have been flying the flag for the culture with their hand-built sound system, designed to deliver that deep, chest-rattling bass the music deserves. Over the past few years they’ve been making waves on the UK circuit, powering sessions in Bristol, Swansea, and around Wales, as well as supporting international artists and selectors with their unmistakable, custom-built rig. For this dance, they’ll be bringing their stack to Bar 105, Cathays Terrace, transforming the venue into an authentic sound system arena.

Expect a night of roots reggae, dub and jungle, with plenty of exclusive dubplates aired for the first time in Cardiff. Alongside Sain Audio, we’ve got support from local champions: Jimanoli (Tu Tuff Sound), Stereoripe (The Reggiments) and Erb'an Dub – selectors who know how to keep the vibe bubbling all night long.

The session runs 8pm – 1am on Friday 10th October. With the intimate setting at Bar 105, capacity is limited – so advance tickets are highly recommended to guarantee entry. This one is strictly for the dub and reggae family: deep roots, heavy vibrations, and full sound system culture in the heart of Cardiff.

All Tribes Welcome
