Sorry for the super late August recap. Got to fly home and see my lovely family! And then on to a wedding with my forever wedding date @jourdan._.marie celebrating the most perfect couple! I got to see my favorite @kar0line_r0se who is now married?!? Of course my season regulars @sterfry_hp and @emma.clarkee. And a new character added @beccann00 (who I started doing DND with?) crazy times. Last night was a very special night. This little open mic we launched this past spring has started blossoming. We featured one of my new favorite writers @lucywrenstories who just released her debut book of ten stories: ‘gerald is a terrible name for an apple’

Her work was weaved through an evening of poets, musicians and a visiting playwright. (@phanesiapharel a playwright who is opening ‘Dead Girl’s Quinceañera’ on @barringtonstage running through Aug 29th for their 2026 season.)

How Lucy closed out the night was actually magical, transporting us and literally inspiring all of the audience to get out of our seats unprompted and gather ‘round like a bunch of kids hanging out for story-time.

Thanks for being here, to experience this moment in time. Where we get to all exist in this exact moment to read this sentence, or next line, or be inspired to take on the many forms we take on throughout our lives.

here I am, and here you are. And that makes me happy.

Special thanks to:
@wanderberkshires and our always gracious barista
@earth_to_ren5 my co-host / comfort blanket
@frankthebaldguy for consistently bringing sound quality
@jourdan._.marie for actually organizing all the things

And of course our Featured Poet/Writer @lucywrenstories for creating and performing in such a generous way.

Honorable mentions:
@sterfry_hp for sometimes making chocolate chip cookies

🖤
(If anyone comes across this that I didn’t tag and you want to be tagged DM me.)

Not only was June Pride month, I got my name legally changed, and it was also our one year Massachuse-versary! Making new memories trying to enjoy every second. (And hopefully by next Massachusetts-versary Emma will be a Mass Hole too!)
