📈Building strength & improving movement quality is key throughout the season in order to be able to perform at your best anytime you’re on the court.
.
🦾Here’s some ways we train strength & movement quality in the lower body with our hoopers.
.
❗️Being a better athlete isn’t just about what you work on while on the court.

🦾Today we wanted to give you guys some more examples of how we get our hoopers stronger in their upper body.
.
❗️Not only prepping the limbs & tissue to tolerate certain amounts of load & force but also being able to dish it back out to opposing players just as much.
.
📈Being a skilled hooper isn’t just about how you manipulate the basketball but how you can also use your body as an advantage to help you while playing.
.
♾️Stay tuned for more content covering how being strong helps you on the court♾️

🌴$UMMER’S FULL OF PAIN, GROWTH & ADVERSITY. OVERCOME IT ALL🌴
.
💫I’d be lying if I said this offseason was anywhere near easy to get through but it was also one of the best summers I’ve gone through with myself & the guys.
.
📶Another summer of just simply getting better & high level activity day in & day out. I’m beyond grateful to everyone that was a part of this summer & decided to trust the work. Believe me the results will be seen by everyone before we know it.
.
🟢⚫️Lastly, I got to give a big S/O to @house_0f_hustle & @coachtim_pf for welcoming me to the @prolificprepcrew family. The most unexpected blessing to come out of this off season & I can’t wait to see what the future holds.
Let’s keep building.

‼️Before practice or workouts, a great way to warmup your players is through a quick & effective lift in the weight room.
.
🦾So today we wanted to give you guys an example of how we primed our guys; Hez, Malik & Sterling in the weight room before getting on the court for their skills workout.
.
✅We focused on preparing them to get into various low stances & really getting the joints & tissue to fire/wake up so they don’t feel any discomfort through the on court work.
.
📈And of course we can’t forget about mixing in some quick strength work & plyos to prepare the body whenever it has to produce or absorb force.
.
♾️As we always say, how you use the weight room in-season is vital for your performance & longevity on the court. Don’t shy away from it.

📊Getting better can be a beautiful & gritty process & not everyday will be your best day.
.
🗣️How you respond to the good & bad days is the key to becoming the better version of yourself you’re trying to create.
.
🏁Embrace the good, bad & ugly days; because that’s what the process is all about.

Another full workout with the college/ pro group. Focus of the day was handling pressure. You can do all of the ball control drills you want, but at some point, playing against actual defensive pressure is the only way to get your work to truly transfer come game time. Try out some of these drills if you struggle against pressure, and follow for more training videos!
