“I can’t make your dream come true forever, but I can make it come true today.”✨ ——— The 8th Doctor’s costume redesign is in full swing now and I can’t wait to share the progress! It’s a matter of time…🕰️ Lots of time and thought has gone into every element this time, as it’s a more complex ensemble than I first realised to change.👀 While I’ve been travelling, I’ve designed a brand new Sonic Screwdriver too, that is a hybrid between the TV Movie and Dark Eyes Design.🪛 This would overall be mostly Classic Sonic Screwdriver inspired, but this time rendered in Brass, Wood and Resin.🪵 It would have a light up Crystal and TARDIS console inspired collapsing column, that would reference the New Series Designs.🖲️ What’s your thoughts on this quick concept and should it be made a reality?🤔 ——— #doctorwho #8thdoctor #sonicscrewdriver

“I’m a Doctor. But probably not the one you’re expecting…”💙💙➕🕰️💥 ——— I’ve recently been working on a new updated costume for the 8th Doctor and I’m so excited to share the progress!🤩 This project started off as a fun idea to remake “The Night of the Doctor” coat in Navy, as seen on the photoshopped Time Lord Victorious artwork.🪡🧵 However, as always I’ve made things more complicated for myself by subtly changing everything…😮 In addition, it’s a rather fitting redesign to celebrate the 30th Anniversary of the @bbcdoctorwho TV Movie!📺🎬 There’s still a lot of work ahead of us and some incredible creatives will be involved with this project, so stay tuned!👀 ——— #doctorwho #drwho #8thdoctor

Time Lord All Tied Up👔 ——— This evening I’m sat writing on my Laptop the next set of shorts I’m going to make, regarding the history of some of the 10th Doctor’s ties from Doctor Who.👀 What started as a single one off acquisition for the BFI screening has taken me down a whole new rabbit hole I’ve never dared venture…😮 Oh the complicated details for each, current ongoing negotiations and things you haven’t seen I can’t wait to share…✨ But, for now here’s a teaser of the few I’ve acquired in the last month or so. “Okay, you can turn round now. How do I look?”👀 ——— Finally, here’s the new 11th Doctor costume variant I’ve been developing over the last few months!🕰️🌌 I’ve been silently working away on this one, with @stevenrickstailoring and it’s nearing completion… We set out with the idea to place this new variant between Series 6 and 7, inspired by my friend @miles_taylordvision new @bigfinishprod 11th Doctor audio stories. Giving the Bow Tie wearing Time Lord a fresh update.🎀 The shirt is the main new piece being a gorgeous lavender Oxford cotton, with a subtle white stripe, in the classic Series 6 tab collar cut. I chose this colour specifically, as Eleven began to wear more purple hues during his later years. Furthermore, it felt like a soft transitional shirt between his Utah Series 6 style and his later shirts like the Nightmare in Silver Budd. Finally, as a sneaky reference to the 12th Doctor costume there’s a clever fabric choice for the Cuff and Collar lining, does anyone recognise it?👔💐 The other elements are from a mix of different 11th Doctor episodes. The Bow Tie from “The Bells of Saint John”🔔,Braces from “Asylum of the Daleks”💀, Jeans from “The Wedding of River Song”👰🏼‍♀️ and Boots from “The Snowmen”.⛄️ The idea is some of the components, like the Jeans, he’d currently own, but in these new adventures he’d acquire some of these later pieces off screen, that would sit in the TARDIS wardrobe until Series 7B.✨ Obviously, we are still temporarily using my gorgeous Series 6 Shetland Tweed Jacket and it looks incredible. However, we’re still hoping to make an updated Plum Tweed Jacket, but I’m looking to get the 8th Doctor costume done first, as we need to focus a lot of time and effort getting both perfect.🪡✨ What’s your thoughts on this current design, please share your thoughts in the comments!💭 ——— #doctorwho #11thdoctor #mattsmith

But not anymore, because now he’s got me.”🌌 ——— This weekend I had the privilege of attending the BFI 20th Anniversary of @bbcdoctorwho Series 2 screening and it was spectacular! To see episodes some of us watched as children on the big screen was just magical!📺🎥 I got to meet so many phenomenal people from both the show and fandom, that made me realise what keeps this show alive is all of us! I want to thank you all for your time and kindness, as we are one of the biggest families on earth.🌍✨ Special thanks to @louisepage.costume for signing some awesome prints of her incredible work, these will be framed and treasured forever. A true inspiration for many of us costume collectors and thank you for setting us upon our journeys.🪡🧵 Unfortunately, I didn’t take too many photos of the special moments myself, but here’s a select few, I’m sure more will materialise in the coming days. I’m burning up a sun just to say goodbye…”🔥 ——— It’s currently the 20th anniversary of @bbcdoctorwho Series 2 and at the time it was a British TV phenomena, that inspired a whole new generation of fans.✨🌌 The weekly adventures of the 10th Doctor and Rose Tyler will forever be remembered by those who were blessed to grow up with such incredible Television.🕰️📺 Next month myself and @stetsondoctor will be attending the @britishfilminstitute 20th anniversary celebration. Thank you so much @dwasonline for organising such a spectacular event! I look forward to seeing fellow fans attending!👀💫 But, what to wear? I think this is due to the fact all the components blend together so well, making for a classic cosmic rockstar rebel Time Lord look!🎸 Due to being in the game a long time now, I currently have a few 12th Doctor items for sale, that unfortunately don’t fit me anymore. “Personally, I think that’s a hell of a bird.”❤️❤️➕💎🐦‍⬛ ——— I was once again going through my vast Doctor Who costume archive today and pulled these out of the wardrobe…👀 These are two of my bespoke 12th Doctor series 9 coats made by the incredible @stevenrickstailoring !🪡🧵 When I was younger, I was really inspired by the costume designs of Doctor Who series 9 and here I am today creating costume concepts of my very own. Thank you @rayholman12 for being the inspiration I needed!🙏✨ I do have great plans for a new 12th Doctor coat design, but unfortunately I believe Holland & Sherry have discontinued their velvet range for the moment. And everything ends.”💔💔➕🎄❌ —— Today I decided to dawn the new 14th Doctor costume variant, that I designed with many other fantastic creators within the Doctor Who community. Admittedly, with the recent news of the Christmas special being canceled and the future of the show being uncertain, it does feel like I’m dressed for a funeral of sorts.💀🪦 Now I’ve had some time to think on it… I can’t lie like many fans I’m incredibly disappointed in both the BBC and some production team members for how they’ve handled this messy situation. Teasing there will be an announcement at some point, to then ultimately announce another hiatus is just insane. We were given false promises, lied to and ultimately mislead as a community. We deserved honesty from the start or some level of transparency. Please do better in future!🙏🕰️ However, there’s no reason to share any hate towards anyone involved in these decisions, as I’m sure they can’t have been easy to make and what’s happened is probably for the best. Yes the next production team have a nightmare of a cliffhanger to gloss over, but it’s been done before, so I’m sure someone talented can create a great quick narrative explanation.✍️🌌 But, as a fandom we are the reason the show continues to live, without us the program would not be worth making and there’s probably someone reading this who will be involved in the next reinvention one day. Continue creating and being passionate about the incredible 60+ years history of this program, as Doctor Who will return one day… A phoenix always rises from its ashes.🔥✨ Finally, it might very well be the Doctor Who wilderness years 2.0 electric boogaloo, but remember we have each other and the online space to share our voice.
