𝓕𝓐𝓒𝓔𝓢: 𝓐𝓵𝓼𝓮𝓷𝓭𝓸𝓮 𝓞𝔀𝓮𝓷𝓼 & 𝓙𝓪𝓶𝓮𝓼 𝓣𝓲𝓼𝓬𝓱𝓵𝓮𝓻 on view in the gallery today from 12 - 5 PM.

Owens and Tischler’s paintings pull from art history, photography, and anime, then transform them into something uniquely theirs. They expand portraiture by making the face a site of change, where form emerges through gesture, repetition, and accumulation. Working fast across many pieces, both are built through an additive process, layering paint over time to reveal the transformation.

Fender MIJ Custom Telecaster in stunning “Lake Placid Blue” for @stevekoss_ of @love_fool_xo!

Few things are classier than a double bound Tele! This one came in for some TLC. In addition to the normal cleaning and setup work I installed a small .25 degree full pocket shim to correct the neck angle and give a better range of adjustment at the saddles. I installed a set of brass Gotoh intonated saddles, new stainless pickguard screws, a new CRL switch and SwitchCraft jack. It’s now playing and sounding great!

Fender Johnny Marr Signature Special Jaguar for @stevekoss_ of @love_fool_xo!

I’ve been itching to try one of these since they were announced in late 2025; I have to say, it did not disappoint! While faithful to the original signature model it has enough tweaks to make it its own thing; Most notably, the 3 lipstick pickups. They have a mellow tone and the addition of the middle pickup gives some wonderful 2 & 4 position Strat sounds. All in all, it’s a winner!

In addition to a cleaning and setup the owner wanted to try 500k pots instead of the stock 250k to brighten it up and closer in line with his other Johnny Marr Jag. I installed a pair of StewMac spec CTS pots which did the trick.

2025 was one heck of a year. I’m truly blessed.
So many rad tattoos. So many stages. So much Italian food. So many unforgettable days and nights with some of the greatest people around.

It was also a year of change — I started some new things and let a few other great things come to an end.

I’m beyond grateful for every single person who trusted me with their tattoo ideas, came out to a show, shared a post, or supported me in any way. I appreciate it more than words can say.

2026 is already locked and loaded — and things aren’t slowing down.
More tattoos. More venues. Bigger moves.

We’ve also got some epic changes coming to the shop that I’m super stoked to share, so stay tuned… it’s about to get real exciting.

Thank you for riding this wave with me all these years. I can’t wait to keep building, creating, and sharing it all with you.

Grazie mille, ci vediamo presto. 🇮🇹

🟩 2025 was one of our most collaborative years yet! Collaboration is at the heart of everything we do—fueling work that begins in Detroit and resonates across the U.S. and around the world, allowing us to create dance that truly makes an impact. 🟩

✨ We launched our future-forward 35th anniversary season: Vision 30/35
✨ We hosted choreographic residencies with Yoshito Sakuraba & Maxine Doyle. Yoshito's new work features an original anime film with paper cut-outs made by students at Detroit's College for Creative Studies. Doyle's work is set to a new score by composer, Rachel Dease.
✨ Artistic Director, Stephanie Pizzo's new work, "Architecture of Silence," premiered in May
✨ Our company members led educational residencies at Eastern Michigan University, Oakland University, Hope College, and Central Michigan University.
✨ We brought dance to the community at Detroit Month of Design, Crain’s 40 Under 40 Event, a pop-up at David Klein Gallery, and Michigan Central.

... but the work doesn't stop here! Last chance to make a tax-deductible donation for 2025. Your support will propel us into more creativity and collaboration in 2026.
