Ran The Table🏆 A 12 Game Winning Streak Earned The Lakers Their 3rd Championship In Team History🍾 On the outside looking into the playoff picture entering July; the Lakers season was on the line with 8 games remaining at 9-7. In the most competitive pool of teams in RBL history, the Lakers fought hard to punch their ticket earning the number 1 seed at 17-7 with 8 straight wins. After a sweep in the Semi-Finals, the Lakers met the defending Champions in their first finals appearance since 2021. In Game One, playoff Nate Hall hit his first Homer as a Laker leading the offense. Shaggy earned his 5th win of the season on the bump to give the Lakers a 1-0 series lead. In Game Two, the Pioneers got on the board early with 4 runs in the first two innings. A 2 out, 3 RBI triple in the second inning gave the Lakers a 3-2 lead before the Pioneers followed with a 2 run homer the next half inning. Michael Ribis came in relief throwing 4.2 innings of 2 hit, no run baseball. Trailing by 1 with 1 out in the last inning, Joey Bitetto legged out a single. Nate Hall followed with another huge hit. First year Laker Nick Pastore hit a clutch 2 strike RBI double to tie the game. Kyle Wood hit in the go-ahead run on a Sac Fly scoring Nate Hall to give the Lakers a 5-4 lead. Michael Ribis threw 3 straight strikeouts to secure the Lakers their first championship since 2021. We would like to thank all of our players, families, supporters and sponsors for an unforgettable season!
