NEVER BEFORE RELEASED 1983 DEMO - “Shut In/Shut Out” - Discovered in 2019 on a cassette labeled “NOTHING” - Now out on Numero!
In 1979, when I was 10 years old, my father introduced me to Eugenie Diserio and Steven Alexander. We started writing songs together for our bands, CHANDRA and later, The Chandra Dimension. Eugenie and Steven are exceptional artists and musicians. I was lucky to have them as my mentors. There is much more to say about all of this. But, for now - I am so happy to release, FOR THE FIRST TIME (43 years later), the final song the three of us ever wrote together. A demo recorded on 4-track cassette, “Shut In/Shut Out.” [Lyrics: Chandra Oppenheim, Music & Demo Recording: Eugenie Diserio & Steven Alexander, Additional Engineering: Nyles Miszczyk, Mastering: Liam McGhie (The Numero Group).

The magic makers at @segretofinishes brought in a decorative painter who spent 11 days hand‑painting every branch, leaf, and flower in this dining room. We often find ourselves in awe of the level of creativity in our industry. This is truly a one‑of‑a‑kind space. ✨
