Talk about a full circle moment. 4 years ago I saw Twice exactly at the same venue. 4 years later I return with a squad of my own and a new lightstick. Each concert experience brings a new one and being able to share my joys with others especially for their first time brings joy to my heart. Throughout my 6 years of planning I never thought I’d be shouldered with the task of coordinating at first with a single friend now with groups. The solos made this a magical evening and being able to get floor seats finally for my favorite all time group made it worth it. Thank you Blackpink for the joy you brought!

Channeling that inner Chi energy ❤

Last week was my 25th Gotcha Day, marking a quartercentury of adoption and the alternate reality I’ve been given in the US. Many adoptees may experience grief from being reminded of the life they could have had, which I definitely felt this year given recent revelations about my birth story. HOWEVER, I choose to celebrate this milestone. Celebrate because this weekend of back to back shows has reminded me how grateful I am for the beautiful people and love in my life. From Emo Night, celebrating the music I loved as a kid that is so uniquely American and freeing - to EDM + Omakase night celebrating the sounds that made me a musician again. Also to experience intimate fine dining while DJing rave music was ANOTHER LEVEL of cool experiences.
