Collage artist @rosalind_freeborn has been coming nearly every week at our Monday night classes for several years ✨

We've also been working with the model @steveritterlife for over a decade now 🫶🏻(would highly recommend; very professional, punctual, with a great selection of poses)

We are now on the countdown, with only 7 classes left of the year.
Every Monday evening until 30th November and we will return on Monday 4th January 2027.

Video of life drawings of Esther @estherbunting who was a regular model at Wanstead House - she also modelled at St Andrew’s Church, Leytonstone many times. Both classes are now on a summer break.

Fabulous model with an endless variety of poses which made for great short and long studies. One drawing contains 10 sketches all on one sheet - difficult to figure out, but made for a great composition!!

The short video starts from May 2016 to Oct 2023. The drawings are a good mix of charcoal, soft pastels, watercolour and oil pastels on brown wrapping paper, lining paper and cartridge paper.

Video of Life Drawings of male life model, Steve @steveritterlife who was a regular at Wanstead House Life Class which is now on a summer break.

Steve is still a fairly active model, but I haven’t drawn him since May 2017!! Maybe he will tip up at Wanstead House again sometime 🙏🏽

The drawings start from April 2013 to May 2017. They represent my life drawings after a 5/6 year break between 2006 to late 2011. The drawings are a good mix of charcoal and white pastels in brown wrapping paper and watercolour on lining paper. A good model always helps…….

I may look at posting more videos of regular models from the past and present during the summer break and in the absence of any new work. Let’s see how it goes.

My Monday night painting of Steve. Feeling the summer vibes this time so I decided to go for a brighter, warmer background and key. Super interested in controlling value ranges at the moment. Painted at @londonschoolofvisualarts weekly Monday portrait sessions in 3 hours. Come join us if you are in London!
