NIGHT TRAP 3 Cover By Jenny Frison Graphite on board Graphite & color pencil on tone board 11 x 17 in. The body count begins as the vacationing teens set off a series of gruesome traps. Unfortunately for them, the Trapper is not alone, but unfortunately for the Trapper, it looks like Kelly has some experience with this. From Cullen Bunn, one of the most critically acclaimed horror writers in comics comes a wholly unexpected tribute to classic slasher movies! And who better to produce the cover than Jenny Frison, whose work on Hack/Slash helped earn her Best Cover Artist noms from the Harvey Awards in 2013 & 2015 leading to more independent and commercial work and an Eisner nomination in 2024. Lion Forge, the publisher of Night Trap, was founded in 2011 and merged with Oni Press in 2019.  This cover reminds me of the movie poster art for my former boss William Lustig's slasher classic, Maniac, but also of Bernie Wrightson's iconic cover to the second issue of Twisted Tales - which is the first bagged (and boarded) comic I ever bought. The separate pencil and tone board pieces provide insight into Jenny's process. The back of the tone board has the preliminary drawing for her also iconic Loki Agent of Asgard first-issue cover as a bonus.    #nighttrap #horrorart #horrorcomics #jennyfrison #comicart @comicartfans @@illustrade.ig @@sniktofficial

Just received a new painting from @iamwillblood so had to re-arrange the layout on this Simpsons corner. His show at @superwow.gallery looked awesome and they safely got this piece around to the other side of the world for me.
