One of the greatest honors of my life has been being this kid’s mom for the last 12 years. He has a heart of gold and a sensitivity to the Holy Spirit like I haven’t seen in kids his age. I’ve never known anyone like him. I can only imagine the things God has in store for him. I’ve seen glimpses, and I know it’s gonna be great. Happy Birthday, Ethan Stone 🫶🎉

This was almost exactly 5 years ago. It had been 5.5 years of fighting and I was barely alive. If I’m honest, I couldn’t even SEE myself living the next week ahead, much less doing… (next)…

…THIS. Hiking at over 10,000 feet. I just couldn’t even picture it. I could barely breathe WITH oxygen, and I never thought I’d ever do anything like this EVER again.

In Joshua 6, the Lord is about to give Jericho into the Israelites’ hands on their conquest to obtain the Promised Land.
Verse 2 says, “And the Lord said to Joshua: ‘SEE! I have given Jericho into your hand…’” Earlier last year God highlighted to me that He commanded Joshua to SEE IT, before he could actually ‘see it’. He wanted Joshua to consider it done, so much so that he could see it in his mind’s eye even though it didn’t “look” like it.

I understand from experience that when a sickness lingers for years and years, it can be hard to see anything else. It gets IN you… You start to see yourself sick, you even dream sick, and it gets hard to ‘see’ yourself well again.

But all throughout the Bible, the Lord commands us to see a thing in our imagination (expectant faith) before we see it manifested in the physical.

He is the God “who calls things that are not as though they were”. And as those created in his image, He expects us to do the same. That’s what Faith is. Our faith is the evidence of the things we cannot see. Faith speaks.

23 years ago I met my best friend, Lindsay, when we both went to YWAM in 2003. Her voice has been such a powerful part in my journey. If not for Stephen and Lindsay speaking life over me and not letting me give up, I wouldn’t have made it through.

We pulled off an epic surprise and she and her kids, my kiddo’s best friends, met us in Estes for the week. She and her husband are farmers in Indiana, so we don’t get to see each other very often at all.
It had been three years before this week, and she hadn’t seen me healthy since my wedding. It was so special that she was there for this. She just kept saying, “You’re a walking miracle!… You’re doing this, in this altitude! You are healed!”

It was YEARS of me intentionally renewing m

This little 100 year old cabin in the mountains of Estes Park is a little slice of heaven. Stephen’s grandfather on his mom’s side bought it from his father in law in the 70’s who’d owned it since the 50’s when he bought it from the original family who built it in the 1920s.
We go as often as we can (which isn’t often enough) and just soak up the mountain air and gorgeous scenery.
