🔄 REVERSE DIXIT Resolution: @MovinMeeples’ clue was guessed just minutes before mine, so they win this week! 🏅 Their clue was “Life, the Universe and Everything,” the 3rd book in the Hitchhiker’s Guide to the Galaxy series. @StevOEvso followed the emoji hints to get it right for his 1st win. 🙌🏻 @MeepleCarpet then got my clue of “The Wizard of Oz” to secure their 2nd win. 😄 So… almost all of my competitors have kicked my butt so far. I’m starting to get a complex here with a 1-5 record. 😲🤦🏻‍♀️ ▫️▫️▫️ @MovinMeeples & I both struggled to find commonality in these cards! They explained their clue this way, “I got a spacey Sci Fi/fantasy vibe from the 3 cards in general, but, human footprints are a sign of life, the cogs kind of look like stars and planets and moons and I think clockwork is a good metaphor for celestial bodies and orbits, and the last one, bit obscure but planets in jars kind of indicative of the universe as a whole, everything, as it were.” For me, I was pressed for time & went with my 1st thought, which was that the footprints made me think of a path (the yellow brick road), the middle card made me think of the colorful characters in Oz, & then there was a wicked-looking witch who looked like she was holding a tornado in a jar. 🤷🏻‍♀️ ▫️▫️▫️ Best wrong answer goes to @PrimeTimeBoardGaming for “The Hitchhiker’s Guide to the Galaxy” because he almost nailed @MovinMeeples’ clue right out of the gate! Even @StevOEvso credited that guess with steering him in the right direction. I was shocked that @PrimeTimeBoardGaming didn’t come right back after getting such hot hint emojis, but he said work got in the way. This is what can happen when you prioritize the real world over Instagram games! 😆 ▫️▫️▫️ The right card is from the newest Dixit expansion, Mirrors. ▫️▫️▫️ @Libellud @Asmodee_USA #Dixit #DixitThursdays #ReverseDixit #BoardGames #Gaming #PlayMoreGames #EuroGames #BoardGameAddict #BoardGameGeek #BoardGameNight #BoardGamesOfInstagram #BoardGamer #TableTopGames #BoardGameCommunity #Libellud #Asmodee_USA

🔄 REVERSE DIXIT Resolution: Finally my clue was finally guessed 1st! 🏅🤩 I went meta with “Reverse Dixit Head-to-Head Challenge” 😂 & @PrimeTimeBoardGaming figured out all the words (though in a jumbled order that I decided didn’t change the meaning). He gave credit to @SmallFriesGames for guessing the head-to-head part. 🙌🏻 There was a struggle to get @BakingAndBoardGames’ clue of “Grab the bull by the horns,” but then @TabletopMom came out of nowhere with almost the right words & finally nailed it down for the win. 🥳 I’m now 1-2, can I tie it up next week? ▫️▫️▫️ The middle card was my inspiration for “head to head,” & the cell phones made me think of an online battle. Tying in the left card was harder, but I then I realized it was heads on heads & could also just apply to the weird cards of Dixit. I worried about using a clue that was self-referencing, but the guessing went my way, so yay! As for @BakingAndBoardGames, she said the bull head in the left card & the snails locking horns in the middle card were the main inspirations, along with the girl in the right card looking like she had a lasso. ▫️▫️▫️ Best wrong answer goes to @StevOEvso for “locking antlers” because there are antlers in the left card, & the snails ▫️▫️▫️ The right card is from the newest Dixit expansion, Mirrors. ▫️▫️▫️ @Libellud @Asmodee_USA #Dixit #DixitThursdays #ReverseDixit #BoardGames #Gaming #PlayMoreGames #EuroGames #BoardGameAddict #BoardGameGeek #BoardGameNight #BoardGamesOfInstagram #BoardGamer #TableTopGames #BoardGameCommunity #Libellud #Asmodee_USA

🔄 REVERSE DIXIT Resolution: The clue was “Where you lead, I will follow” by Carole King, and I was thinking specifically of the version used for the Gilmore Girls theme. @BoardGameWon got it — thanks to his wife making him watch the show in the past. 😂 Glad to have you come around every couple of months to take the win! 🥳 ▫️▫️▫️ All of the cards have a child, with the left 2 cards clearly showing mothers as well. But the right card introduces a different theme that took me awhile to nail down. When the Gilmore Girls theme popped into my head, I knew I had the right clue. It covers the mother/daughter theme, as well as the young fish getting ready to follow the other fish into the pool. 🌺 ▫️▫️▫️ Best wrong answer goes to @StevOEvso for “I Wanna Be Like You” from The Jungle Book because I actually considered this as the clue & had the song running through my head for awhile on Wednesday. 💃🏻 But other than the title — which I really do think is perfect for these cards — the rest of the song didn’t feel quite right. ▫️▫️▫️ @Libellud @Asmodee_USA #Dixit #DixitThursdays #ReverseDixit #BoardGames #Gaming #PlayMoreGames #EuroGames #BoardGameAddict #BoardGameGeek #BoardGameNight #BoardGamesOfInstagram #BoardGamer #TableTopGames #BoardGameCommunity #Libellud #Asmodee_USA
