🇧🇴 I’m in Awe of every young adult who chooses to serve a mission for the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints!!!

Why would they set aside every comfort & luxury their life offers to go to a foreign land (state side or out of the country is foreign IMO) to try to teach people the gospel????

A message that many of them are still dissecting and trying to understand themselves.

Why would they set aside their education, jobs, relationships and the forward progress of their lives???

Why would they endure tough companions, loads of rejection, sickness and homesickness??

Why would they do this???

They do it for many reasons. Although I have never been a missionary- I suppose I’m guessing at the answer to these questions.

It’s Jesus!!!

It’s soooooo impressive to me that they make a decision based purely on FAITH and they just go for it!!

And in the process they are refined and they grow and mature in ways that are soooooo inspiring!!

I’m in awe!!

I’m impressed!!

Haley has been through the wringer!

Sprained ankle, parasites, typhoid fever 2 Times, hard companions (like really hard) she’s soooooooooooo far from home in the poorest country in South America.

And yet she smiles, she shares beautiful insights, she teaches people about her Savior and she still has such a fun spunky personality that shines on!!

I love her!!

I love her so much my heart could explode.

I am proud of her!!

I’m impressed by every single person that makes this commitment and sacrifice!!

It’s hard!!!

It’s beautiful!!

It’s Jesus!!

He is the WAY the TRUTH and the LIFE!!!

I know this and I am forever grateful for my discipleship and all that it adds to my life!!!!

4 months down -> 14 to go 🙏

HXP is an incredible program!

Teenagers disconnect (no phones)

The leave home, go and serve, study scripture morning & night

Work hard for the community they visit

Make new friendships

Fall in love with the people of the country they serve

Watch Miracles take place

They step outside their comfort zone

And they leave blessed beyond measure

Beyond grateful for Jack and all the memories he made

It’s truly amazing how you give a little and you are blessed 10 fold!

God is so good!!!

And she’s off ✈️

She is so ready

She is going to be the most beautiful missionary

It’s miserable Joy!!!!

Letting her go is so hard and so good all mushed together!

There is nothing easy about it! I’m an emotional mess……but I wouldn’t have it any other way!

When I think of all the beauty in my life it’s because of HIM my Savior Jesus Christ! Praise be to Him!

So you watch your child choose to go and share His glad message and your heart bursts with love and admiration for that selfless decision.

Haley you know I’ll cry and miss you like crazy but you will be strong and courageous and brave and genuine and touch so many souls. Go find your people. They are waiting for you!!

Go help make heaven crowded! And invite others to Walk with Him ❤️❤️❤️

Coachabamba, Bolivia 🇧🇴 please be good to her!

Haley Stewart you were born for this!!!!

I’m in awe of you!!

You’ve decided to hand over your life and put all that you have on the altar and serve love and share the gospel.

There is something so special about you that will draw people to Jesus.

You are genuine and measured with your words and you have such an open heart ❤️

Serving a mission is a common thing in our religion but I will never NOT BE AMAZED when a young adult makes this decision. It’s HARD, it’s scary, it’s beautiful, it’s rewarding, a lot is expected……..yet YOU CHOOSE TO DO
IT!!! And I am in awe!!!

I have no doubt there are people in Bolivia 🇧🇴 that are waiting for and prepared for the message you will bring them in your unique way!!!

You are such a beautiful soul!!

Your message today was powerful and my heart was overwhelmed with love for you!!

So many amazing friends and family showed up today to love on you and offer support for this huge adventure!!!!

Jesus offers an invitation to ALL to Walk with Him!! The greatest decision I’ve ever made was to walk with my Savior- imperfectly, often clumsy, but learning from Him…….He is my friend, my comfort, my compass, my ALL!!

I pray He will watch over and protect you as you go and invite others to come unto Christ!!!

You are such a beautiful example all of us!!
I love you 💛💛💛💛💛💛💛

Maui ☀️ 💦 🏝️

This was a dream!!!!

Having time with our 2 littles was such a gift!!

Soon Haley will be in another country for 18 months and Jack has one more summer before his senior year of HS

My heart can’t believe we are here! The days were so long but the years flew by!!

I love being their mom!!

Getting a front row seat to every season of their life. Watching them learn and grow and change and evolve into grown ups! I love them so dang much!!!!!!

Nothing can really prepare you for this season…….it is beautiful and so hard!!

I don’t know if they chose me or I chose them or if God designed our family but I am grateful every single day we are together!!!!
