Guess who’s back, back again? STCKMN’s back, tell a friend...

I’ve been appointed for a second year as a judge for the @thedieline Awards 2026!

The awards celebrate some of the most thoughtful packaging design work from around the world, so it’s always a pleasure to be involved. I was on the jury for the ‘Limited Edition’ category last year, and this time I’ll be reviewing the ‘Design for Good’ category. You can still enter up until 28th Feb.

Having experienced it from a few angles, including submitting work myself (and being fortunate enough to win a couple of awards back in 2024 🏆 ) it feels good to now help spotlight work that’s doing something meaningful beyond just looking nice.

Excited to dive into this years entries and connect with the other international jurors.

P.S. I’m not open to bribes 🤣

🚨Podcast Alert 🎧- I had the pleasure of guesting on the WiseNoise podcast, hosted by @pearseohalloran of @wiselove.studio

With a background in stand-up comedy and radio, it was only a matter of time before he started his own podcast.

No “journey so far” chat, instead, a very funny nod to my recent @creativeboom Boom episode, mini violins at the ready 🎻 🤣.

Pearse’s format included ‘blowing smoke up my arse’ where we dive into some of his favourites projects of mine, a quick-fire round via the ‘Bingo Wheel of Wisdom’ with a real bingo set, each number corresponding to an assigned question, and finishing strong with the ‘heavy dessert menu’ where I chose an industry topic to chew on.

Best watched on YouTube for the visuals, or just listen along. Link in the bio...

Cheers to Pearse for having me on, it was a blast.

🎧 PODCAST Part II. If you listened to the recent full episode on @creativeboom podcast, things got a little bit heavy at times, but in this half-hour bonus episode ‘The Spark’ things get a lot more playful and light-hearted as I answer some quick-fire questions about quirks, guilty pleasures, the creative advice I ignore, and what really happens behind the scenes when I’m out of my depth.

Me and @katylcowan talk parenting, music, creative identity, and my inner critic ‘Steve’. There are seaside amusements, mosh pits and broken toes!

🎧PODCAST: BOOM! What a start to the New Year. I guested on the @creativeboom podcast!

I’ve been a long-time fan of Creative Boom and an avid podcast listener, so being asked to come on as a guest was a proper “wait… really?” moment. Full bucket-list behaviour.

@katylcowan was an absolute joy to chat with. Having known her for what feels like forever as an online pal, she instantly put me at ease — which led to some unexpectedly vulnerable moments. We talked about everything from my creative journey and running a studio, to surviving a knife attack, losing my dad, work ethic, and all the messy, human bits in between. I even made her cry. Sorry, Katy.

Massive thanks to Katy for having me on and for creating such a genuinely supportive, inspiring space for creatives everywhere.

🚨 WTF Milestone moment! I’m on the cover of a NYC design magazine!

I’m over the moon to be the cover story in the 10-year anniversary issue of @brandersmagazine

Thanks to Luis Fernando Vergara and the Branders team for kindly inviting me to contribute an article sharing my thoughts on packaging design.

Previous big hitters to grace the cover include @marty_neumeier @thechrisdo and @debbiemillman — so it feels surreal to find myself alongside such household names.

You can read the full issue for free, link in the bio (my article is on page 16).

Massive thanks to @martin.mccready.94 from @upfront_photography_ for the incredible images and for making my ugly mug somehow look palatable for print.

And finally… if anyone from TIME, Forbes, Vogue, Kerrang! or Playboy is interested in a cover star, I’m available for a feature 😉 😆

🎧🎙️PODCAST : Things got heavy on my recent chat with @radim.malinic on the Mindful Creative Podcast. This one was less about projects and the work and I more about me opening up about my personal experiences of running a studio.

I’m a huge fan of the series as it aims to help people to understand the highs and lows of creative careers through interviews with those in the industry, so I was grateful to be invited on to share my story in a no-holds-barred style sit down.

We discussed me being attacked with a knife as a university student, how work became a crutch and distraction for dealing with traumatic experiences and how that ultimately led to burnout and ending up in hospital. It’s not all doom and gloom (honest) as we also discussed personal growth, rewards of running your own business and the advantages of therapy.

You can listen to the full episode, link in the bio.

Cheers to Radim for having me on the show.

I’m excited to be on the Jury Panel for the 2025 @thedieline AWARDS!

I was lucky enough to take home two awards from the 2024 ceremony so will be great to be on the other side this time helping to select the winning submissions.

There’s still time to enter the awards and if you use code: CHRIS, you can save $50 off your entry.
