It’s difficult to put into words what an insanely wonderful experience the @brewing_artists residency was - which is probably why it’s taken me two weeks to fully recover 🤣

Experiencing life as a full time artist in London was incredible and it taught me so so much about myself, about artistic community, and about creative careers.

With just two weeks to take advantage of an enormous studio/gallery space in Wandsworth, we made sure to make the most of every second! Which meant a lot of early mornings and late nights. But oh my god the time just flew!

Cramming so much creation into just 14 days would not be sustainable long term, but it was just a joy to be given the freedom, time and space to create. Throw into that the most amazing four fellow artists, who I am lucky enough to now call friends, and I can’t even explain how magical it was.

I am also aware of how incredibly lucky and privileged I am to have been given this opportunity and have the support and ability to use it!

I can’t shout enough how mad it is to be a working artist, but if you are second guessing your practise or the things you can achieve, just remember that it’s all possible if you put yourself out there.

A massive thank you to @sophieteaart and @brewing_artists for putting this residency together, and the biggest thank you of all to @eugenalowry @haarrietttte @susanwarnerartist and @sticks.studio for being the most incredible crew and making the entire experience such a dream…

Autumn announcements coming this weekend 👀👀👀

Still not over last week… 🥹

What a way to end the Brewing Artist Residency. From painting every day alongside the most inspiring artists to celebrating our very first exhibition together — what the hell!!!

So so grateful to everyone who came, bought work, shared kind words & raised many glasses 🥂. The support means more than I can put into words.

A huge thank you to @sophieteaart, @beckyhollidge, @alexandrahyde & the entire Brewing team for championing emerging artists and creating opportunities like this. So insanely inspired by your hard work, generosity & the community you’ve created. 🤍

And to my girls — @sticks.studio @haarriettte @felicitypaints @susanwarnerartist — what a bloody dream it’s been doing this alongside you. From strangers to painting partners, exhibition buddies & now friends! 🫶🏻

Here’s to the beginning of something very exciting. 🍸🎨✨

A special thank you to…
• @independentvulture for capturing these special moments to relive 📸
