My album “Honest Work” is out now! I’ve been trying to write this post for hours now, it’s hard to convey everything I want to say. Please imagine that every album is two years of intense work by a group of people, and all of these encounters are woven into it. It is a result of a scene, of a community. Most work is voluntary, utopian, just the sheer passion of making something cool together, economically extremely stupid behavior. The weeks of crisis and insight when contemplating the lyrics. The not understanding of your gear and the learning to master a guitar part. The visions, the dreams, the anxiety and cringe feelings of good enough vs perfect. Before you were able to listen to it, it was my lonely conspiracy and then a world shared and broadened and exploded with my collaborators, which are without exception also friends, people I look up to and people I could never pay fairly for their talent. Starting with @douglas_greed ofc, who not only gave me this morning this cake, but also made the beats. Imagine him as someone turning my paper ship into a speed boat. Without my label @sinnbus and my publisher @mouthwateringrecords, you would not hear from me. I love them like my besties, Laureen, Daniel, Peter. Thank you, Nathalie and Ändu! @ohamusicartists Jacky and Arthur, I can’t believe I get to work with you. Kristina @kristinawedel you are an amazing graphic designer and you turned my Berlin life upside down with your care and friendship. The cover shoot was was an adventure of inhabiting the fantasies told on the album @ronja_burkard ! Many musicians have influenced me greatly, some are featured on my album, like @luzi_hey Luzi Schuler and @andreas_bonkowski, Sevi Landolt @itenmn. Some are part of it in spirit @billiebirdmusic, @donatsachen, @ltjtheone, @mausches, @bedafindling, @lucemusicluce and @oh_no_noh. Ryan Biehl is performing with me on stage, the best ❤️ There will be a cool new website by @elsakuno My friends @manu_ella_elaah, Dom @world.wide.dom, Monika and Kathy @kathy.pj have suffered my meltdowns with the wisdom of old witches. I am so proud to have you in my life. Kuratorium Aargau and @stiftungarvore, you made this all possible.
