Concrete and Cloth I recently had the privilege of collaborating with Tido and Gulu on a test shoot turned story, and it was a truly enriching experience. Being able to contribute to and help shape the vision was a highlight of my journey. This project resonated with me on a deep level, as it explored the nuanced intersection of masculinity and femininity, celebrating the beauty of balance and subtlety. I believe this work speaks to the power of breaking free from constraints and embracing the fluidity of expression. concrete & cloth in this visual exploration, Guluveli becomes a living canvas for expressive layering. draped in beautiful garments and emphasising on the natural contours and strength of black beauty. set against the backdrop of weathered yet vibrant apartment blocks in sea point, cape town celebrating skin as both story and statement, each slide echoes urban life - textured, bold and unapologetically alive. the juxtaposition of soft textiles and raw architectural colour tell a story of identity, duality and contemporary beauty creative direction & film photography by @2024tido black & white photography by @tamsbaby__ styling by @tamsbaby__ for @sosastudios__ assistant styling by @brazyyounglord
