What an opening! When @zhudandanstudio ‘s calming voice and the warm guitar notes from @yourxiaolongboo slowly drizzles into the air, we flow to that hot summer day in Nanjing, 1960.

I’d never thought I’d be able to listen to my mom reading her essay in her mother tongue here in Canada! Special thanks to the talented musician Matt who composed the entire piece based on this Dandan’s writing. It is our very first attempt to branch out our media exploration to music, and I’m extremely proud of what we’ve accomplished!

We also learned a lot about our local history archive from Peter Wilson, the historian and genealogist here in the library. Sharing our artworks and the production side of art making is always fun! I also brought a small batch of my personal zine/Artist-book collection and everyone loved it! First class was so much fun!
