Today's Big Idea, sponsored by @stlchildrens, is about creating and fostering healthy friendships is essential for a happy and fulfilling life. Girls on the Run empowers participants to choose friends who uplift and inspire them. Through lessons about self-respect and healthy relationship-building, girls learn the importance of surrounding themselves with positivity and support. Let’s all follow this example and nurture the friendships that help us grow!

Schaible Lake Park, reimagined. 🌳

After last night’s Better Block Party, Better Block SGF’s weeklong community activation along Medical Mile opens today. Stop by for art and music, gardening, yoga, therapy animals, kids’ activities and more, with programming from Centerstone’s Be Well team.

We’re proud to be the Safety Partner for the activation. That includes a crosswalk added for the event, so neighbors and visitors can get to the park safely on foot. 🚶

Come see us there, too:
🚶 Walk with a Doc with Dr. Katie Davenport-Kabonic, Oct. 19, 10 a.m. to noon
💪 Walking Circuit with CoxHealth’s Meyer Center, Oct. 19-22
🧸 Teddy Bear Clinic with St. Louis Children’s at CoxHealth Child Life, Oct. 23, 4-6 p.m.

The activation is open through Oct. 23. Check the daily schedule through the link in @betterblocksgf’s bio, then take a walk, bring a friend and see the park in a whole new way.

I volunteered with them in Nashville for 15 years and have been working all year with an amazing team to bring them to @stlchildrens we need volunteers so if you or anyone you know are interested in helping out, next Thursday night is the perfect opportunity to learn more and receive a free concert, food, drinks, and chance to donate to #MusiciansOnCall link to RSVP/Register in my bio or message me for more info…

Massive thanks to Gary Hochberg, Reed Low, Wayne Smith, PJ, Kathryn and the entire MOC team for making this happen in STL!!

It’s been four years since the ICU admit that finally lead to a second diagnosis. So much life and growth has happened since then. It is a reminder how lucky we are to have access to great pediatric medical care and doctors and researchers still working hard to understand rare diseases. #rarediseaseawareness #adrenalinsufficiency #breatheforpcd #primaryciliarydyskinesia #changekidshealth
