Our Favourite Church and Community Groups in Bath

We've loved attending stay and plays in church halls this past year! They are cheap and cheerful and always ran by the most kind and wonderful people. Here is a run down of our favourites!

💓🐷Little Luke's @stlukesbath. This runs on a Thursday morning between 10 and 11:45. It has so many wonderful things for babies and toddlers to play and engage with. There are snacks for both adults and little ones and lovely coffee and tea too! This is a voluntary donation of £2🐽 💓

🎸💓@theforumbath runs a stay and play for babies and toddlers on Mondays ran by @_lifechurchbath . They run from 10-11:30. They have a variety of stations for play, a snack and song time followed by a ride on session! Totally fab! 🎸💓

💓🪻@widcombebaptistchurch also run a group on a Thursday morning which runs from 10-11:45. It has a great sing along session and it's £1 contribution per week 🎸💓

🐑 Noah's Ark Toddler Group runs on a Monday and Tuesday in the church on the corner of Moorland Rd. It is £1 and is limited to the first 30 families. 🐑

@stmichaelswithout opposite Waitrose hold a babycafe on a Tuesday and Friday morning between 10-12 where children can play for free and grown ups can enjoy treats from the cafe 🍪

Hazy light drifting over the spire of @stmichaelswithout the other evening. The hills around Bath provide the perfect spot to capture the last light of the day 😍

Back out with Bath Urban Sketchers at the weekend. A fun meet negotiating rugby crowds attending the @bathrugby versus Exeter semi final and TNT tv filming @craigdoyletv doing an intro to the match, temporarily excluding us from the Beazer Garden Maze where we were sketching. However nice warm weather and a lovely cuppa afterwards in the cafe at @stmichaelswithout.

Thank you to the people of Bath (and beyond) for coming to this Peoples Emergency Briefing film screening at St Michael's Without Church.

We joined forces with our friends at St Michael's where Reverend Roger, Lisa Ware and their volunteers hosted at this perfect venue for a thought provoking and important evening. @shareandrepair CEO Ruth Lambert, BWCE’s MD Pete Capener and author and campaigner Jonathon Porritt fired us up as our excellent panel and were truly excellent, guiding us through the facts of the film in an engaging and actionable way with inspiration.

Here are a few photos from the evening, it felt good to come together in the heart of Bath, joining communities and networks.

Next week, our CEO Ruth will be speaking on a panel at a special community screening of The People's Emergency Briefing.

If you're not sure what this film is about, it's a short film built around a landmark 2025 Westminster briefing where leading scientists, doctors, and security experts addressed politicians and decision-makers.

The film presents the latest expert evidence on the climate and nature crisis, and aims to help communities and elected officials understand environmental threats to everyday life such as food security and extreme weather, and discuss actionable responses together

So, if you're worried about the climate crisis and maybe even anxious about the unusual weather we've been experiencing this week, this is a great opportunity to get in the same room as experts and like-minded people.

📅 Monday 8th June

Here is my finished painting of Green Street including the butcher’s, the old green tree and the welly… and of course St. Michael’s spire. It is one of my best I think - not least because it incorporates the whole steeple in the distance while also including the gentleman in the foreground which really creates a sense of place and atmosphere.

Swipe left to see a detailed shot of the gentleman wearing a flat cap along with his dog.

Prints will soon be available to buy on my website www.cmintyart.com
