Solid weekend for the Assemble fam… keeping tabs on everyone racing was practically a sport of its own. 😅

Saturday started with Stephen & Derek putting together great performances at the Mud Mountain Marathon, while Dan, Kyle, and Madison took on the Cirque Series at Crystal Mountain.

Then today, Kevin, Toby, Chris, Tanner, and David raced IRONMAN 70.3 Washington Tri-Cities.

Every single person put up incredible performances, and what’s not featured here but even more impressive is that behind those start lines were months of balancing family schedules, work, early morning workouts, swims, rides, runs, long training days, and everything else that doesn’t stop just because you decided to chase a big goal.

You are all so inspiring. Beyond grateful to be surrounded by people who continue to test what’s possible, and in doing so, make Assemble what it is. 🫶🏽

I’ve heard, “He’s insane.” “He’s crazy.”

I get questions all the time… “HOW does he do it?!” And my short answer is always, “I have NO freaking idea.” 😂

But the truth is, I actually DO know.

Not a lot of people get the pleasure of seeing what goes on behind the scenes, but I do. I see the effort, the grit, the determination, and the mental toughness he puts in every single day. It’s truly remarkable.

This man LOVES it. He works HARD, day in and day out. I feel bad saying it, but his efforts have become my “normal.” “I’m off to train” is basically part of our daily communication, so it’s easy for me to sit here unfazed when he does something BIG and say, “Oh yeah, he’s pretty cool.” 😂 Only because, honestly, I’ve come to expect nothing less from him.

But then I stop and think… 200 miles in under 72 hours?! 20th out of 290 registered runners?! MAN..
Sometimes I forget just how out of the norm and truly incredible it all is.

It IS freaking amazing. And HE is freaking AMAZING.

You don’t meet many people like Stephen, and boy, are we freaking lucky to know and love him. 🤍 I love you, & I’ll ALWAYS be your cheerleader. To many more!!!!🎉

Many of these people have been training for the last few months to run a 50K or a 50 miler. For most, it would be their first time at this distance… but due to wildfires, the race was canceled.

The thing you have to understand is there is a major flywheel effect to this place. Every single person here has positively impacted someone around them to get healthier, to get stronger, to start running, to go after something they weren’t sure they were capable of. So this run matters, not just to them but to all of us, and yesterday captured both the grit and support that make Assemble so rare.

When the race disappeared, this place rallied to make sure the opportunity didn’t. This community put together a course, marked trails, set up aid stations, and showed up to run, crew, cheer and support.

Congrats to all the big dawgs who got it done yesterday, and thank you to everyone who showed up, cheered, crewed, supported and made sure they got their chance to finish what they started.

Incredible people doing incredible things, together… that’s Assemble.

You guys are crushing it out there and it’s been so exciting to see all the emotions from the sidelines 🥲

No run club this weekend. We’re heading down to Bigfoot 200 to support @stmurray10 and watch some absolute craziness unfold.

So go get your run in anyway. Hit the trails, put in some miles, grab a coffee, and send us a pic. Tag the club so we can see where you’re getting your miles this weekend.
