You can care deeply about people and still choose yourself.
Maybe that isn’t selfish. Maybe it’s necessary. 🤍

Save this for the reminder you didn’t know you needed.

Planning a trip to Barbados? Here are five experiences you shouldn’t skip...plus, where to stay for the full island vibe!

✅ You can’t visit Barbados without a rum tasting. Start at Mount Gay Distillery - the world’s oldest rum producer - and then head to St. Nicholas Abbey for small-batch rum in a historic plantation setting.

✅ Explore Harrison’s Cave via tram or guided tour. Think dramatic stalactites, flowing streams, and a completely different side of the island.

✅ At the northern tip of the island, Animal Flower Cave pairs oceanfront views with a laid-back lunch spot. Come for the scenery—stay for the breeze and crashing waves.

✅ For a true local experience, head to Oistins Fish Fry. Fresh seafood, music, dancing—it’s equal parts dinner and a party. (Photo credit: Oistins Fish Fry)

🏨 Check in at Fairmont Royal Pavilion for beachfront rooms, calm turquoise water, and easy access to the island’s attractions. It stands as one of my favorite stays in the Caribbean!

🇧🇧 Barbados is more than beaches (though they are pretty incredible, too!). From rum history, underground caves, ridiculously good food—this island packs a lot into a getaway.

The detour might be the destination you were never wise enough to choose for yourself. 🤍

Trust the change. Trust the timing. Trust where God is taking you. 🌿

Maybe you’re not lost—you’re being redirected.

If life is taking you somewhere unexpected, take this as your reminder to trust the journey. 🫶

St Nicholas Abbey house & distillery. Small batch rum only, but boy is it good! Four distilleries in three days and I think this was my favourite rum on the island (sorry!)

It helps that Simon is a fantastic host and rum tasting king, with an amazing challenge coin collection 😎
