So happy we got to create choreography together as a team! 🫶 Sad that Nick won’t be able to make it to the performance, but I really enjoyed the whole creative process with you guys! So grateful for this experience! ❤️

Thank you for giving us the opportunity and space to create our own piece and perform together! 🫶

Year of weekly dance projects - WEEK 9
“About This Thing” @yngfrnco @scrufizzer139
Collab with @stnickyd !

Fun fact: Nick was the very first dance friend I made when I moved to San Diego 10 years ago! I love that we’re still dancing together a decade later (and that I finally convinced him to join @obg.sandiego !). He continues to be one of my most humble and supportive friends - what a joy to dance together!

The process of making this was such a fun exercise in Yes And-ing each other’s choices and just enjoying the song :) Threw it together in under an hour! Maybe we’ll re-record a nicer visual sometime soon, but for now this is my accountability post. We out here grooving!

“The Evolution of Justin Bieber”
@showoutdancecomp 2026

We are so proud to share our first stage performance of our very own Bieber-chella set at Showout this year! Many thanks to the dancers, choreographers, captains, and directors who brought this to life! We are continuously amazed by how hard-working, efficient, and positive this team is 🙏🏻 This set was built in just 10 rehearsals (once a week for 3 hours, over the last 2 months), and everyone here is making time for dance around family, career, and everything else happening in their lives. Proof that you don’t have to age out of dance, you just have to show up and show out 😉

ROUND 81
July was definitely a fun one when it came to dance; amazing classes with a teaching + collab moment = 😙🤌🏼. Also, the amount of convos I’ve had with a multitude of people about artistry, the communities we see ourselves in, nostalgia and looking ahead, roles we play as people & how they tie to our art, and more just really fed my soul this time around. Now, especially with thinking about how my schedule is gonna look like in the fall with school/work/upcoming internship, I’m not sure where taking [consistent] classes is gonna look like in the coming time; but maybe it’s a sign for a way to find dance in my life beyond the consistency of class. Who knows, maybe I’ll find a way to still take class; at the end of it all, dance/art is one of the pieces of my life and I’m not losing it despite how anxious I am of the future. Anyways, mental check aside, this round was definitely fun all around with a few mess-ups but full of growth nonetheless. Hope y’all enjoy this one! 😁 PS Y’all would let me know if the kip-up is tired, right? I say to myself that I wanna expand my moveset when it comes to moves like that, but I just wanna see something 🥴

.2021.
.
What a whirlwind. There were A LOT of ups but also it’s fair share of “downs”. This year was humbling as fuck and it feels good to have it under my belt.
.
I look forward to what this next year has in store.
