I Fish For More | Too Far Upstream
-

Scrollin’ through the ‘Gram, what do I see?
Some tight-shirt clown with a live crab caught permit on his knee
Tagged @sageflyfish , tagged @hatchoutdoors, tagged a fish he didn’t catch
But the drag’s set wrong and the leader won’t match
Talkin’ “early mornings” like he’s put in time
But that motherfucker’s never set a 5AM line
He’s got drone shots, ass shots, and product links
But can’t mend a drift to save his pink-ass drinks

They’re clickbait frauds, fishin’ for fame
Sellin’ their soul for a discount name
Hashtag “grindin’,” but they ain’t done shit
A dozen takes just to make one pic
I know a dude with scars on his hands
Built a career without OnlyFans
So if it’s real or fake, hell, I know the score—
You fish for the ‘Gram, and they fish for more

I know a guide down South, runs a battered skiff
Ain’t got sponsors, just a solid gift
They’ve taught more kids than your YouTube can
While you’re pitchin’ rod deals with your spray-on tan
He don’t need reels—just a loaded pack
Knows when to pole out front and when to hold back
Ain’t on TikTok, they’re on the goddamn water
You want influence? Go learn from someone who bothered

He’s not suckin’ air from the hype machine
Just swingin’ bugs where the water runs clean
He ain’t got followers beggin’ for tips
Just locals sayin’, “That son of a bitch rips”
So save your presets and yoga pose
While real folks fish where nobody knows
It’s Photoshop dreams and ego wars
You fish for likes—I fish for more

I ain’t mad at fame, just the way you fake it
You call it hustle — I call it horse shit
You tag wild rivers but you’ve never known
The silence that comes when the world leaves you alone

Fake cast, real shit — learn the song
You bought your way in, I earned it long
You fish for the post, I fish to feel
You fish for brands, I fish what's real
So stay on the bank, keep your boots dry
I’ll be in the run, where the truth don’t lie
'Cause out here it’s cold, wet, and legit
No likes, no lies — just real damn shit
