As we mark ten years, we reflect not only on where we’ve been, but on what defines our work today.

#ArtfulVistasColonial represents that evolution—an expansive, highly detailed home brought to life through close collaboration with a visionary client and a talented team of partners. From architecture and interiors to landscape and custom fabrication, each discipline worked in concert to realize a shared vision.

The result is a home that feels both timeless and deeply personal—an expression of what’s possible when collaboration is at the core. View the complete project at the link in our bio.

PROJECT UPDATE! LIVING ROOM DETAILS
The living room will be the place to hang out. Since it’s in the front of the home, privacy is built in through the hidden shade system where the shades automatically come down and then retract, creating an easy solution that is also not obtrusive in the space. An interesting aspect of this part of the project is that an astronomical study was done in the design phase to determine which way the sun travels. And yes, John says “astrological” (hey, both work!) so this is your chance to guess his sign!

In a home like this one, a lot goes on behind the scenes, as John explains in “the room where it happens”. From battery back-up in case the power goes out (instead of an outdoor generator due to the floodplain) to solar panel controls and AV system controls, this space will be the brains of the operation of the home, complete with heat and air conditioning to keep all the modules and components cool.
