August is here and the -ber months beckon. My home office, atelier, cosy desk all day the same thing to me: embrace the season you’re in my love. All the accessories in the world couldn’t possibly bring as much comfort as my buntings and flags. Knowing you love them too makes me so happy.

Today is Valentine's Day. And in case you forgot, or have been busy, Marie has your back! Check out this adorable mug all ready to give to the one you love in your life. It checks all the boxes! It's quick, it's personal, it's adorable. More details on the blog! Check the link in our bio.

And in the words of Marie:
You don’t need to outdo last year. You just need one small moment done with care. Something warmly dreamed up with kindness. That counts.

Y’all @storiekeeper has a new collection out called Summer Florals. It’s so beautiful. I used a Paisless Press template @liztamanaha that really highlights this collection.

I’ve been waiting for my life to feel like an episode of the Gilmore Girls and it wasn’t happening so I started building my dreams anyway. Autumn is a beautiful season and I was born in September so it’s a lovely way to be connected to the year as it rolls merrily along. Even as we transition to spring in Australia I still feel the pumpkin spice vibes here in the atelier.

That lamp in the background on the left is from the old Target homeware line made by Mirabella. I MISS that, don’t you? Better quality and durability. A subtle nod to the idea that children deserve beauty. Because it WAS in the children’s section. Never let a label keep me from a desk worth having.

Calm Journal Prompts by @coffee_tea_paper

Week 22 - 2024

‘Smile, breathe and go slowly’ | Thick Nhat Hanh

* Decorated my journal page with a few items gifted to me at SEQ Journal Keepers meet last Saturday May 25. With a train reference to our lovely friend Andrew @theruralfamilylawyer. It’s always a fun day to catch up with friends and I met a few new friends

I was going to leave our #SEQJournalKeepers stack just as a story (that has already disappeared), but I am struggling to let go how beautiful this group is and how these creative souls inspire me and make me want to make the most of life… Sometimes to add beauty to otherwise “normal” days and life events, sometimes for the deep talks that happen in between a sticker or a new fountain pen ink, sometimes just for being there and sharing their precious stationery finds. This group has grown in its first year and is now a consolidated (almost therapeutic) day I look forward to. Who would tell how many friendships stationery can foster… Beyond all the other things it does for us.

Thank you Louise for accepting to be a partner in creating it… And actually being the driver of it all. You are a beautiful soul! ❤️

Thank you also to all stationery addicts tagged in this post and the other members who couldn’t come this time. I appreciate you all too! 🤗

When @storiekeeper showed that she was coming out with a Summerween kit I immediately bought it. I want this Ghostface statute sooooooo bad, but instead I decided to scrapbook it. I did screenshot this image from a TikTok. I made this layout in @canva. I did use a “template” for the layout. I only used the tv from that template. Which I feel is very appropriate. I did change the halftone image too. One of the many reasons why I love digital collections is you can manipulate the images how you want. I wanted the love potion bottle as a background, but the paper was to much. So I extracted the image using the magic grab in @canva and made my own background and I LOVE it. It’s exactly what I pictured in my head.

Last weekend I had the opportunity to attend the SEQ Journal Keepers meetup. These people are just the most wonderful warm souls and kindred spirits when it comes to journaling, paper crafting and fountain pens. Paper goodies were shared, lots of great conversation had, thank you to everyone who went and in particular @coffee_tea_paper and @artlife.journal for organising 🙏🏻

I needed something different and when @athoughtfulmarie reached out with this collection Sea & Sky, it hit home - literally. The shades of blue and blurring of the horizon between sea and sky made me miss home even more. Don’t even start on the sarung style patterns #ifyouknowyouknow
