Think I’ve got the Greenland blues 🥹 After getting back and finally digging through photos, there’s so much calling me back. The river outlets that each catch the light in their own way. The otherworldly iceberg textures that just make you wonder: how? The nightly moon rises that cast faint glows across the fjords. It’s a fairytale place.

I was, alone at the end of the world, standing in the rubble of the biggest mystery…. (Damjan Koncnik, Greenland: The End of the World ) With East Greenland National Park sailing expedition organised by @stormexped and @tilveraexpeditions this end of summer I continue my feverish ice pursuit for Arctic Art project. Looking back on our first night in Greenland 🧊 The airport might have forgotten our shipment of food for the boat…but that didn’t stop us from getting creative. The crew decided a quick stopover at Sol Glacier would be the perfect fit to kill time while our food was redelivered. On our way to Sol, Greenland was ready to show off. Within a few hours we saw polar bears, musk ox, and some of the most breathtaking fields of icebergs. The night was appropriately capped off as the moon rose over the fjord and cast an unbelievable glow on the icebergs. An evening I won’t soon forget.

Between the ice & the moonlight Sailing in the east greenland surronded by ice that has been shaped, fractured and frozen over countless of years leaves your mind at peace Here are few that i shoot with my Canon R5 Ive had that problem that i find it hard sometimes to pick the money shoot to be at the front when i post. Humpbacks We had few incredible moments on our 14 days of sailing, moments that will sit with you forever It didnt make any difference wich direction we looked we saw whales everywhere. Face to face with the artic 🇬🇱 That moment is the one i will never forget We came in sailing towards this island where we were looking for bears. @imagejon wich is the one that always stood his shift outside saw this one coming over the rocks on this island, few seconds before that i mention that a bear could be on the other side of the island Our captain turned the engine off and we slowly drifted closer and closer, it wasnt until i said to our captain: i think we are getting way too close, can you please turn on the engine and back off because it crossed my mind and others on board that if that young bear would jump he would maybe make it on board, that close we were 🤯 Stay tuned if you want to see more from Greenland Canon R5 - RF 400mm f/2.8 . . . . . . #canon #polarbear #greenland #earth

The Forbidden Boop 🐻‍❄️ This was the day I realized this trip would be different. As we sailed into Greenland’s fjords to truly begin our journey, we encountered ~10 of these fluffy giants. As our boat drifted closer to this island’s jagged rock cliffs, my mind was blown by the way this bear’s coat contrasted against the red rocks. I never imagined I’d have the opportunity to photograph polars bears in an environment quite like this.

Raw Greenland Im truly honest when i say that lm not sure what we are looking at here except i know its a mountain that looks absolutly stunning But what happend here ? Moonrises over Greenland 🌙 There’s nothing quite like the soft light that the moon throws on an Iceberg as it drifts out to sea. The moonrise was so peaceful each night as the waves took us somewhere new. It became difficult to convince myself that sleep was even necessary. What if we passed something even more magnificent?
