Marakele National Park + Adventures with Elephants📍🐘 We were so privileged at Marakele, I have never seen so many animals and so many species and I have been wanting to stay at Tlopi tented camp for forever! The species list is way too long (24) but the best was 18 Rhinos, 3 Elephant, 5 Giraffe, a Puff Adder, Black Eagles, Cape Vultures, 2 Bushbuck, Bush Pigs, Spotted Hyenas, Buffalo.

South Africa with Nick and the fam on the farm!❤️
Nick’s first African animals, getting stuck in the mud with the v8, pool day with critters in the back, a really unique goose/duck hunt😆, Nick’s first Egyptian Goose and Knob-billed Duck, lots of game drives, sitting around the fire.
Needless to say the dogs loved Nick and Nick loved the dogs. And attempted catfishin’ on the last day.

And just like that 10 days flew by.
North Dakota was the first 8 days of our trip and all I can say is that it was worth freezing my butt off. Shot my first duck and then some, as well as my first Rooster! And made some special memories with Nicki, his friends and family.
It was my first waterfowl hunt and I was clueless on pretty much everything, besides the shooting part. I have gained a lot of knowledge but still have so much to learn… but being in the field, scouting, seeing the dogs work and the early morning patrol with Nick was exciting to say the least! And if it wasn’t for him I wouldn’t have gotten my ducks, not only because of the set up and calling em in but because we shared a gun for the first 2 days and he gave me control of it most of the time, even if it was reluctantly, I appreciated it😆 It was very special for me to see Nick in his element, doing what he loves. Needless to say I have way more respect for what he does and what goes into his work… And his “vacation” I guess?😆

There’s a new face around here and it’s pretty damn cute. Proud to introduce Beulah. She got in town yesterday from Michigan.
