“Pokewhat? Pikawho? Pikakiller!”
8x8 Acrylic on Canvas 🔚💥💀⚡️📵🦖🌃💣😷🎨🔜 Inspired by a few of my fav artists/influencers I follow. There’s too many to name so I apologize. Click and check their profiles if you’d like!
My little guy painted most of this himself. He asked me to give him the outline, and he did all the hard work. I just did little details with some ideas he gave me.
I used to think I disliked painting. I didn’t know how to make it look good. Hated how one minuscule hair could “ruin” my whole picture if it was out of line. I didn’t have the patience. Didn’t understand. Didn’t enjoy it. Didn’t paint.

He’s taught me that it still looks good even if it’s a little messy. There’s no right or wrong way to paint. Yes, there are techniques, but for our first painting, having a finish product to hang is sooo rewarding, and technique had nothing to do with it. We just brushed some paint on this blank canvas and love how it turned out.
I’m sure I’d still dislike painting if I never gave it another shot. It still frustrates me, I still don’t understand how to make things look the way I had in mind, but I now enjoy the process.

Keep growing, learning, trying.

Stop doing nothing.

You like my jacket? Gee, thanks, just got it. When I found my @levis denim jacket, I knew I wanted to make it unique as myself. I set out thinking I’d get it embroidered, but major thanks goes out to @pjlcomedytour for bringing an incredible Yakima musician and artist to my attention. After our consultation and my own investigation into his work, I knew I had to let this Yakimaniac do his thing. 🌀What do you think?!
