Mental health is one of the most important issues to take note of in athletics, especially golf. Taking the time to reset and ask for help when you need it is something that all athletes can do when you are feeling busy or stressed. Your sport and performance does not define you, so have fun and enjoy the experiences with teammates!💚 #rolldevs #getto🤘🏼

This week, October 3rd–10th, is Student-Athlete Mental Health Week. During this week, we join the Hilinski’s Hope Foundation to help eliminate the stigma surrounding mental health.

“Play in the green” is a saying our team has adopted over the years to recognize that it is okay to be frustrated, sad, or mad when things don’t go your way. In life, you can only control what you do and how you respond, both on and off the field. It encourages us to take a step back and assess how we would like to proceed when times get tough.

To represent this message, we have provided our athletes with green tape and hair ties to put on their sticks as a symbol of staying in the green, focusing on what they can control, and giving themselves grace through the highs and lows of being a student-athlete.

Mental health matters, and no one has to navigate the tough moments alone. 💚

This weekend, we had the opportunity to stand together in support of Hilinski’s Hope and their mission to change the culture around mental health in college athletics.

As athletes, we know the importance of taking care of our bodies — but taking care of our minds is just as important. Mental health deserves the same attention, understanding, and support.

Thank you to everyone who wore green, started a conversation, or simply showed their support. Together, we can remind each other that it’s okay to not be okay, and no athlete has to go through it alone. 💚
