Today’s Agenda: Mail Call

👟: @nike Book 1 “Hike”

At the quarter pole of the year, there are a couple of early frontrunners for my favorite sneakers of 2024. This is one of them.

Today’s agenda: Running It Back

On last night’s show, @qckikicutie tasked us with revisiting and appreciating some of our older pairs. I looked in the closet, and this one from 2015 jumped out. One of the more comfortable KDs in the collection.

Today’s Agenda: The Things We Remember

What’s your first sneaker memory? Can you recall it?

My first sneaker memory was seeing my dad’s Avia basketball shoes sitting next to his gym bag and basketball. I finally found a pair in my size at @hushlifeboutique. I showed them to him and told him about the memory. He looked at them, nodded a bit, and said “Oh yeah. These are heavy. Hooped in some heavy shoes.”

Today he’s about lightness and comfort with his sneakers. I’m moving in that same direction. But these are essential, for me. They’re the foundation of my sneaker memories.
