Part 2:
Fast forward to last weekend, we meet up with the guys for 2 nights at The Palace Theatre in St. Paul for an inside view of their awesomely silly comradery, a few interviews, a lil' photo shoot, 2 kickass performances, and a whole lotta fun
👹😈💃🏼🕺🏻🎸🎹♿️🎵🥂🍕🔥
Thank you guys @portugaltheman so much for sharing your experience with us, especially you @eric_howk 🙏
Thank you for carrying the torch for so many of us living with disabilities who may doubt what we're truly #capable of, and for showing us all that we don't have to live in the shadows. Thank you for being brave enough to roll out onto that stage every night and #slay. Thank you for being humbled enough to go on tour (forever and ever!!) and both ASK for and ACCEPT the help needed to do it, because I know that shit ain't easy. But in order to have the lives we want for ourselves, and share our message, sometimes we have say 'fuck it.'
🤷‍♀️
Thank you for sitting up on that stage and filling our hearts with pride, and conveying the power of possibility and perseverance.
Thank you for telling your audience that we all deserve to have access to our dreams, to tell our story, and to be heard.
I see you. 👊💜
And a huge, ginormous thank you to all the kickass people who love us, support us, and help us along the way. We love you. 📷: @maddbees 🎨: @stpaulslim #igetbywithalittlehelpfrommyfriends #hesababe #baberahamlincoln #shredder

Electric Machete Studios presents... Indigenous People's Day Music (formally known as the Anti-Columbus Day concert). We are inspired by the growing movement where cities across the nation are affirming Indigenous people. We stand in solidarity with Native folks in Minnesota and look forward to celebrating through creative expression the rich cultures we have maintained and transformed despite colonization and modern day imperialism.

ABOUT THE SHOWCASE
In 2003. Los Nativos, a local Rhymesayers Entertainment Chicano hip hop group, hosted the first the Anti-Columbus Day concert and art showcase that used hip hop and community action to raise awareness around the effects of colonization on communities of color and celebrate indigenous culture through art and music. ACD (now Indigenous People’s Day Music and Art Showcase) featured Indigenous artists of the North and South as a way for Chicanx artists to carve out a space for the counter-narrative as Indigenous identified Chicanx artists and for nation-bridging as a Native arts community in the Twin Cities. Innovative for it’s time, the art portion soon outgrew the small concert venue in the 7th Street Entry and Dimensions of Indigenous, the art exhibition series was birthed in 2005.
