POSTS STORIES REELS TAGGED

Friday, again... What’s that mean for you? I know it means tonight, I get My Titans BACK!! Today, I tackle the work that can’t bleed over into that time. We all have negotiables and non- negotiables, right? What are you unwilling to give up on your weekends?

“Love: It will not betray you, dismay you, or enslave you. It will set you free. Be more like the man you were made to be.”- Mumford & Sons •

As I navigate My Calling as a Father and a Writer, I’m humbled by the moments that humble me. I love that the earliest years were invested in my physicality, and yet at thirty four years young I discovered that I am in fact a Writer (and not a jock). So I find myself young enough to rip and run with My Sons, yet patient enough to FEEL and compose long form stories. My Love, and capacity for love, are defeating the demons everyday. I’ll never “arrive”, as I’ll always be practicing (like a Dr.). I’m just grateful to know that when I sit down and put words to my feelings that they have a place, and always will. I hope for that same love to be found for you.

Since shaving my beard has me channeling my inner @davidlatimer_ I thought it might be cool to feature one of his award-winning spaces. Weekends are where I really dig in, to either read or write more than usual. Environment is such a vital ingredient to maximizing creative energy, and @newfrontiertinyhomes have the formula DOWN! *credit @studiobuell for the capture

Throwback to a clean shaven SPC, who got to see his Sons almost all the time, felt comfortable being a single Dad (again), and thought his transition out of service would be “no big deal”. If your ETS or retirement is upcoming, PLEASE get an accountability buddy. You’re not looking for someone to tell you what to do, but someone to bounce your “plan” off of that has your best interest at heart. I put myself through a world of hurt- that’s right “I put MYSELF through it”. I take responsibility for my part in each step that I’ve endured since April of ‘17. Groups like @thedarbyproject @raiderproject @gallantfew are a few examples of resources I can recommend linking up with. Staying on azimuth shouldn’t be that difficult, but we are absolutely capable of adjusting our trajectory unintentionally. I just love seeing the “good guys” do well. Finish your week strong!

More than 12 months have passed since addressing this keynote, and it’s still an absolute TRUTH. MY hurdle has been getting out of my OWN WAY to embrace the very work that had proven itself to be so sweet. I want to encourage you NOT to cheat on yourself with others. Do you.

#tbt to my Professional Wrestling days with @officialvcw I’ll ALWAYS be grateful for the opportunity to live out most Boys’ childhood dream! *Life is NOT a work. You get ONE GO. Learn how to take that punch in the mouth. Get familiar with the taste of blood in your mouth, but learn how to give it RIGHT BACK. Be The Champ.

When it comes to identifying potential in an individual, in the most difficult of situations, @nickkoumalatsos and @raiderproject are standard bearers. You know the people in your life that you always feel “honored” when you get to see them... Creating memories with @raider_project_fishing @chelseyltaylor @jennyjenjen369 and @americanbombshells for the key presentation for The Taylors was unforgettable!

Here’s a #throwback a day early, that may satisfy the #humpday requirement. Talking with My Father yesterday, he reminded me it’s been 9 (nearly 10) years since I graced the squared circle. I’m SO HAPPY that I went for it, in my youth, and experienced life at that speed!

I didn't begin this venture with the intention of selling books.
