Campaign promise delivered ✅

I campaigned to make dissertations optional permanently — and I’m proud to have secured that choice for both current and future Business School students.

Across all Strathclyde Business School departments, future fourth/final-year students will be able to choose a 20-credit module instead of a compulsory dissertation. Students who want to undertake a dissertation will still have that option.

This is a permanent change for all future fourth/final-year cohorts (undergraduate). No “guinea pig trials”, no half promises, this policy is here to stay.

Thank you to everyone who backed this campaign. Your voice matters, and I’ll keep working to turn your priorities into results.
