One week ago today we opened the doors to Trudder Lodge in Wicklow Ireland, our home for three days.

It was our first first time in Ireland so warranted a bespoke course. Over three days we covered bowls and bouquets, wedding flowers, farewell flowers and crazy crowns too. A foundation course on steroids perhaps?!

You’ve seen the bowls, created on the first morning, so we thought we’d share the bouquets made that afternoon. Using only Irish grown flowers every bouquet was beautiful and told their own seasonal story. The silk ribbons were local too, made by Rachel @theivoryfeatherdesigns Imagine my delight when I realised she lived only 20 minutes from Trudder Lodge!

Scroll through to meet everyone who joined us for three days of floral exploration. The last image is of Sarah, my right-hand women who made this trip a shared load and a lot of laughs 🫶🏻

• Emily who travelled from the US, with her sister, to learn more about her floral style. We think she smashed it. Also enviously photogenic 😆
@emdoesflowers

• Johanna who is from Germany but lives in Ireland. We loved Johanna’s natural style, so beautiful and suited to the season too.
@johannabanaditsch

• Ah now there’s Mary Helen who also travelled from the US. What fun we had with Mary Helen, a wonderfully warm hearted women with a passion for flowers. Thank you for travelling so far and for creating such beauty.
@mhcobb1

• Travelling companion Karen also travelled from the US, also a wonderful floral designer, also with a passion for slow grown flowers. Thank you for travelling so far Karen, a real pleasure to meet you.
@karensparker

• Joanne from Derry joined to learn more about sustainable floristry, which we always admire. We loved Joanne’s focus, her eagerness to learn and get it ‘just right’. She did!
@straw.meadows

• Ciara from County Cork came to learn new skills but also to take time out of a busy growing season too. Her designs were beautiful. As you can imagine being a grower she was ‘at one’ with a slow grown flower!
@blumewestcork

• And Sarah, you made this trip a whole heap easier, sharing the load always helps. You’re a ✨
