Limited edition 😏💅🏽

Uniting children across the world since 1930. This isn’t just a poster, it’s a celebration of the global game and immortalizing the intimate moments that bring us closer to our people.

One of my earliest family memories as a child was the 1998 world cup, France vs Brazil. My grandparents just moved from Pakistan and lived in a small apartment in Washington. They came along with my uncle who had Cerebral Palsy and 2 caregivers from Karachi who supported his medical care and the family needs. Everyone in this newly immigrated group supported Brazil. It felt too easy, like saying your fav group is the Beatles. (For some reason Pakistanis really love Brazil) I, the contrarian at 9 years old, loved the French team with their blue kits and Muslim names. Something sparked as I was dancing and rubbing the French victory in their faces like a young Napoleon.

Now every 4 years the World Cup reminds me of those intimate moments with family and unconditional love as a child. Hand painted water colors, ink on paper to celebrate the global game.

𓊯 A few words about maps + our intentions for Good Space

Maps is a creative music agency, run by musicians and artists with the goal of supporting independent musicians.

Given our offices are empty on the weekend, we wanted to provide space for all of our favorite artists to showcase their work and allow the public to come shop and enjoy something unconventional. Our work has always centered around supporting artists, and has felt natural to expand that goal into the visual arts community.

Good Space will continue to be home to our offices during the week so we can continue to focus on what we do best (music things) but appointments can be made to come thru and shop at any point. Otherwise come shop and say hi to our wonderful shop keep @flower___body_ during open hours, Sundays 11-4pm.

The Resistance Zine a documentation and expansion of Palestinian, SWANA and Arab visual culture, language and art. Highlighting the subtle and explicit ways we communicate with each other within our shared cultural understanding and artistic synergy and the juxtaposition of the way the Western world views and depicts us. Examined and explored from a historical and contemporary lens.

Through this celebration and cultural exchange we can both humanize and deprogram ourselves and others through the act of creativity.
