My Hip Hop is informed by the Temple of Hip Hop by KRS ONE. Hiphop is a collective consciousness that inspires us to Break, Emcee, Deejay and Tag.
I ignite this consciousness in the youth and as a result Limpopo Has Breakers who in the coming years will be competing in world stages.

I have been Breakin a little over 5 years and I have been ordained as one of Leaders Breakin in South Africa by @streetdanceassociation . It is truly a honour.

My work with the children has been recognized. Earlier this year, I took my students to Breakin' for Gold, Gauteng Edition. The young Breakers were exquisite. They qualified to Break for the nationals which happened last weekend but we were unable to go. It was not aligned.

Next Year, however, not only will we go to nationals but we will fight tooth and nail to win. We will start by hosting the best Breakin' show Limpopo has experienced and take that energy to the nationals. We have the talent and dedication to do wonders.

This one really is deep.
What you may not have know is that prior to this comp, I genuinely felt like giving up on myself and this thing I love so much called Dance.

Faced a lot of internal and mental battles trying to get myself back into the light. And even throughout the 3 days of the comp, each day was its own challenge with my trying to block out the noise of my own self doubt and to ultimately trust myself and the hard I have put into this thing.

To those that have been there to talk to me and even just listen [ sometimes that's all someone needs ]. Thank you for being such amazingly considerate, genuinely caring people.

Ranking :
1st place HIP HOP SOLO
1st place HIP HOP BATTLES
4th place House battles

Last weekend I had the privilege of going to @streetdanceassociation Dance Sport Club League Nationals (IPTs) with Team KZN (@sdadancesportclubleague_kzn follow them) hosted in the beautiful Cape Town.

It was a weekend filled not only with all different flavours of Hip Hop but also of the South African Hip Hop Culture.

What an honour it was to watch the passion on the floor after the hard work and dedication I know these athletes have put in. My personal favourite was the battles... the vibes and the talent was out of this world.

We learned so much and look forward to next year's season!

Thank you to my fellow KZN coaches, parents, dancers and everyone who made it possible.

PART 1 | THE ROAD TO NATIONALS 🇿🇦

From approximately 60 dancers competing at the KZN SDA Regional Fixtures to around 30 travelling to Cape Town for the IPT National Championships, SIX talented dancers proudly represented BOTH @durbandanceunlimited (DDU) and @crawford_lalucia ❤️🏆

After countless hours of training, preparation and choreography, we are incredibly proud to announce that all six qualified for the National Dance Team, earning the opportunity to represent South Africa on the international stage in Belgium in 2027 🇿🇦✈️🇧🇪
MEET THE TEAM:
🇿🇦 Airi Hirahashi 🇯🇵
🇿🇦 Jurai Shigeta 🇯🇵
🇿🇦 Deen Moolla 🇿🇦
🇿🇦 Elihle Mtshali 🇿🇦
🇿🇦 Thandolwethu Mtshali 🇿🇦
🇿🇦 Emaan Habib 🇿🇦
These young dancers have made us incredibly proud! Their 3rd place achievement national finish, reflects the dedication, commitment and passion that drive our dance community🥉

❤️ BEHIND EVERY ACHIEVEMENT IS A TEAM ❤️
To our parents and families, thank you for the sacrifices, financial commitment, countless hours, encouragement and unwavering belief in our dancers. To our coaches, mentors, provisional coaches and regional leadership, thank you for sharing your knowledge, investing your time and helping shape the next generation of dancers.

A special personal milestone has also come from this journey, with official coaching status marking another important step in my own development as a coach and in my commitment to these young athletes. Every lesson learned, challenge faced and hour invested has contributed to this achievement.
We celebrate with grateful hearts, knowing that there is still much to learn and refine as we prepare for the international stage. The journey continues, the standards rise, and the dream grows bigger 🤩⭐️
