“Ya know, you can’t, well you can put tools in a house, but you can also sleep in my toolbox” 😂 thanks @talkin_tools for the tool box tour! We’ll be releasing the full video on our YouTube and Facebook in a few weeks!

LIVE NOW ON YOUTUBE! So the cat is out of the bag… the @toolboxtours tour of my @matcotools box and all the stuff I’ve accumulated over the last 20 or more years of wrenching on vehicles is live now on Dustin’s YouTube channel. I have a ton of gratitude for Dustin even considering to fly out and film my setup, I don’t have the biggest or the craziest collection of tools out there, but it’s pretty crazy to stop and think back to where I started. 25 years ago walking though Sears buying some basic hand tools to tinker on something, the thought never crossed my mind that some day I’d be doing what I’m doing. I’d like to think I’m privileged enough to build some of the most badass vehicles out there on a daily basis. The reality is there’s still so much I don’t know how to do, and so many people I aspire to have half the knowledge of. It’s wild to sit back and realize how little I knew 20 years ago compared to what I know now. Still learning every day and I can’t imagine what I’ll know in another 20 years!

We can’t thank some of our partners enough for always taking care of us at events like @trail.hero 🙌🔥
What better combo than a @warnindustries winch 🪢💪 paired with @factor55 recovery gear and mounted on a SAVVY bumper 🛡️🚙
Trusted gear. Proven partnerships. Built to wheel hard and come back smiling 😎🪨

In the wild expanse of the Sand Hollow trail system, we have the fortune of coming across a band of Neanderthals—primate cousins adorned with advertisements for numerous companies—clustered around an ailing mechanical steed, the Jeep Wrangler.
Bewildered by their misfortune, the pack tries various methods of repair: kicking, pushing, and pulling, all to no avail. Some members attempt an auditory remedy on the inanimate object, hurling profane insults and referring to it as a form of excrement—also to no avail. The pack mates grunt in confusion before dispersing from the area to join festivities scheduled elsewhere, though a few loyal members remain, unwilling to abandon their stranded brother.
As luck would have it, another human arrives with the necessary parts to attempt a repair. In a truly remarkable defiance of their caveman intellect, the group collaborates through grunts and nods to remove the jam nut, despite fumbling their archaic tools like a caveman’s club. The females distribute ritual beers from a battered cooler, fueling the fray.
The vehicle will now be subjected to further punishment, inevitably breaking more parts and requiring the process to be repeated. Remarkable behavior.

Just got home from @njjpinvasion and in my typical fashion, I took something like 8 photos. But this photo was just so cool for me. That Blue JK that is currently owned by @erictomorrow was the first Jeep Jeremy and I built together shortly after I started at RK nearly 10 years ago. We had so much time in that one developing the Trail Demon systems and that will always be one of my favorite JK’s out there. The Gold JK is the most recent one from RK that was done by @stretch_lj @codydubuque and Jeremy. And it was just so cool to have these two jeeps spend the weekend looking at each other.
