I’ve reached my final curtain,

After 14 years at Strictly Dance, it’s hard to believe this chapter of my life has come to an end. So much of who I am today was shaped within these walls, alongside the teammates, teachers, and friends who became like family. The memories we’ve created together, from long competition weekends and rehearsals to the laughter, challenges, and unforgettable moments, are something I will carry with me forever.

This year was one of the most difficult years I’ve faced in my dance journey, and there were times when I felt I should just quit. Through it all, I am incredibly grateful for the people who stood by me, continued to believe in me, and reminded me why I love dance. Your support meant more than words can express.

While it’s bittersweet to say goodbye to this era of my life, I will always be thankful for the lessons, friendships, and memories that dance has given me. No matter where life takes me next, a piece of my heart will always remain here. Thank you for 14 unforgettable years. 💜

We couldn’t be more proud of these girls after watching them compete in their first dance competition of the season.

Ivy stepped out for her first ever duet.
Isla took on her first ever solo.

Both said they were scared and nervous Friday morning. And then they walked on stage and did it anyway.

They faced it. They pushed through it. They shined.

There’s something humbling about watching your kids do hard things. We tell them to be brave, and then they go show us what that actually looks like.

They competed in multiple dances, supported their teammates, and cheered on their friends at @strictlydance10 . Every single dancer who stepped on that stage this weekend should be proud.

To quote my favourite tennis player, Roger Federer:

“The best in the world are not the best because they win every point. It’s because they know they’ll lose again and again and have learned how to deal with it. You accept it, cry it out if you need to… then force a smile. You move on. Be relentless. Adapt and grow. Work harder. Work smarter.”

Where do I even start…

Over a month later I’m still reminiscing the week I spent at @dancecanadacompetition solo finals, where I was honoured to receive fifth runner up for Ms. Dance Canada 2025!

Solo finals was definitely the highlight of my year, where I got to make so many new friends who share the same passion as me, challenge myself in audition classes, get interviewed, learn and perform in an amazing opening number, and perform my contemporary solo “For Theodore” one last time! Thank you Dance Canada for this amazing opportunity!

This years opening number was beyond fun to perform and learn, a huge thank you to @ericcampros for allowing all of us seniors to shine out there! ✨

To @jess1caford, I can’t thank you enough for trusting me with this story on stage. It’s been such a pleasure to perform this piece for you and Teddy, and I will definitely remember this solo for the rest of my life. Thank you for always pushing me to be the best version of myself.🤍

A massive thanks to my second family at @strictlydance10 , where all of the staff, parents, and peers create such a supportive environment for me, and many others to grow. Excited to take on my final year with everyone! 💜
