A huge shoutout to my Midlands team!🙌🏼

Waking up late this morning to what has been quite a week!

We flew in from Mumbai India at the beginning of this week and finished the week celebrating in Manchester with the StrikeBack Midlands team at the Women
in Business Awards!

Strike Back Self Defence Stafford and Donna Walker brought home runner up Franchisee of the Year🎉🎉🎉

I’m so proud of these women. They absolutely deserve every award they are up for and more. They are on the ground teaching these life skills to women and girls day in day out.

Awards are always great….but knowing you are saving women and girls from violence and abuse through what you teach is immeasurable. That is the real win🎉🎉🎉

Proud of each and everyone of them.❤️

Where do I even start with yesterday’s Business Class Awards?! ❤️

What an absolute honour to have been one of the judges. And if anything, the whole experience has reminded me just how blooming brilliant the children’s activity industry really is.

An industry full of people who genuinely care. People with passion, purpose and a real desire to make a difference.

And judging? My goodness, it was HARD!

You hear people say, “Everyone was a worthy winner,” don’t you? But I genuinely mean it.

The stories behind these businesses. The reasons they started. The challenges they’ve overcome. The conversations I had with them.

Just incredible.

I also had the pleasure of hosting one of the mastermind tables, where we explored ways to grow our businesses. And once again, I was reminded just how many brilliant minds we have in this industry.

So, if you put yourself forward for an award and didn’t win this time, PLEASE don’t stop.

Go again. And again. And again. ❤️

And finally, I absolutely HAVE to talk about Krissy

Krissy Monaghan, you are an absolute LEGEND!

The thought, care and attention that went into every single detail of this event was something else.

The content was exactly what we needed. The speakers, the conversations, the timings. Everything had clearly been so carefully considered.

You absolutely smashed it, and I really hope you’re putting your feet up for a few days. You deserve it!

It was also just lovely to meet so many new faces, have some brilliant conversations and spend time with people who care so deeply about what they do.

I’m incredibly proud to be part of this industry.

And I can’t wait to do it all again! 💘👩‍🍳#lovebiz #childrensactivities #bizawards #bizclassawards #womeninbiz

Rape or sexual assault don't happen in isolation. 🚩

There are always clues. The comment. The "joke." The way he treats women when he thinks no one's watching.

If you saw it or heard it and said nothing, you're part of the problem.
You're an enabler.

There. I said it.🎤

You don't get a free pass. Period.

Self-defence with Hannah from @strike_back_wolves was one of the many experiences our girls got to try during our summer HAF programme 💪🏽✨

It wasn’t just about learning techniques it was about confidence, awareness and knowing they have a voice and setting boundaries. 💗

And our STEM project is also taking Serenity For Girls into school near you giving girls even more opportunities to explore, learn and discover what they’re capable of🚀🔬

1 in 3? IT’S A LIE!

We've heard it so many times it stopped shocking us.

But that number only counts the women who spoke.

What about the wife who stays silent to keep her children alive?
The 18 year old with every finger broken who never told a soul?
The woman who's been made to believe she's the problem?
The student too afraid of the shame to say a word?

They're not in the statistics. They're in our homes. Our workplaces. Our universities. Our families.

Enough is enough. 🔥

We are not waiting for permission. We are going to create the change.

And it won't come from women alone. It comes when every one of us demands it. Every woman. Every girl. And every man who stands beside us as an ally.

Men, this is your fight too. Your silence protects him. Your voice protects her.

When we all stand up and say NO MORE, that's when it starts.

It starts now. It starts with you. 👊

Share this. Tag someone who needs to see it. Refuse to look away.

If this is your story, you are not alone. Reach out. Support is there, and so are we. ❤️

If this is your story, you are not alone. Call the 24/7 Rape & Sexual Abuse Support Line on 0808 500 2222 (England & Wales) or Rape Crisis Scotland on 08088 01 03 02. If you're in danger, call 999. ❤️

I've been trying to find the words for this weekend, and I'm still not sure I have them.

There are moments in life when you stop and realise you are exactly where you are meant to be.

This weekend was one of them.

3 full days. 36 hours of watching, learning, listening, teaching, supporting, assessing and feeding back. The demos, the scenarios, the blocks and the hits.

I came home exhausted, and completely full.

I've spent a considerable amount of time over the years in roles that asked a lot of me, and I've learned to value the rooms where I can simply be myself.

This weekend, with these two incredible women and our newest Strike Back instructors, was one of those rooms.

I felt at home in a way I can't fully explain.

Being invited to train as a Senior Instructor with Strike Back Self Defence is one of the greatest honours of my career.

I don't take it lightly in any sense.

I know how much there is still to learn, and I'm ready for every bit of it.

Because I see what this work does.

Class after class, I watch women and girls stand a little taller, speak a little louder, and leave believing in themselves.

I've already seen first hand our classes in Brighton and Hove change lives. Literally.

Those stories stay with me, and this weekend added more.

So @strikebackdefence , thank you for believing in me.

You have changed my life, and together we will change so many more ❤️

And that is a wrap!

New instructors qualified which means more women and girls will be safe.

Humbled and grateful for the team I have around me and for the women that trust us enough to join our mission 🙏🏼❤️❤️

Day one. New instructor course. 🔥

See that sign on the door? Behind it are women who are about to change everything for someone they haven't even met yet.

Because when a new instructor qualifies, it doesn't stop with her.

It's the teenager who walks home a little taller.
The mum who finally feels safe on a night out.
The woman who never thought she could fight back. And then does.

That's why it's never just about the numbers.

I've watched my instructors across the country change the safety of women and girls in their communities. I've seen it with my own eyes. And every single time, my heart is so full I could burst.

This was a dream once. Now it's real. And it's growing.

So here we go again.

Because it's necessary.
Because it's needed.
Because if we don't, who will?

💪 Ready to be the one who makes the difference? Message me. The next course is waiting.
