Our June meeting was another special one. We got to go back to @mobiusrecordshop and talk about the 2000s era of music! This era was plagued with music going fully digital, physical media seemingly on the outs, and illegal downloading of music complicated everything. But one amazing thing about the 2000s was that smaller indie acts were able to afford to press their records on vinyl cause the medium was seemingly on the outs. In the next decade we’ll probably not look at the 2000s as an era where physical music was starting to die, but the beginning of the physical media renaissance we’re experiencing right now! 🤘

Amazing meeting this month!

Our May theme: BIRTHDAY VINYL

Mitchel (this month’s host) picked this theme as May is his birthday month. The theme he chose was “birthday vinyl” aka find a record in your collection that came out on your birthday, birth date, or birthday month.

This challenged us to dig deeeeep into our collections to see what we could find and pick records we normally wouldn’t bring to club.
🤘🤘🤘
Member Picks:
Mitchel - Tiny Moving Parts “Celebrate” / #SmashingPumpkins “Gish”
Mike - Crosby, Stills, and Nash “S/T” / #Mephistofeles “Whore”
Strike - #PearlJam “Ten” / Devo “Are We Not Men?”
Chris - #ledzeppelin “S/T 1”
Dan - Live “Throwing Copper” / Microwave “Let’s Start the Degeneracy”
Ryan - #Weezer “S/T (Blue Album)” / NeilYoung & Crazy Horse “Rust Never Sleeps”

Our March 2026 meeting was a special one! We finally held a meeting at an actual record store! Thanks to @mobiusrecordshop for allowing us to hold a record club meeting at your shop! It’s a dream as a collector to be with friends talking about vinyl while listening to vinyl while shopping for vinyl!

THANK YOU for a beautiful night + the most amazing crowd came out to @galactic.panther tonight to share in the experience. Everyone - artists & audience alike - brought an energy that turned this already incredible art gallery into something transcendent. I am very fortunate to have played alongside Chach And The Safety In Numbers, @krimeslugs & @continuals_dc in a night I’ll never forget!! xx, gg

A special @vinylanon 📬 order Friday brought to you by @waxbodega and @newburycomics pressing of the @triplecrownrec 2005 sleeper hit #betweentheheartandthesynapse by The Receiving End of Sirens.

I remember hearing this on CD when it first came out and at that point the only drum mix I ever wanted to hear was from @mattsquiremusic

This pressing sounds so damn good. Beautiful color.
Cloudy Clear with Red Splatter. Limited Edition of 500.
