You can be called and still feel crushed.
You can be obedient and still overwhelmed.
You can be faithful and still need to rest.

That was me leading a faith based women’s empowerment event: physically sick, emotionally drained, and still trying to hold it all together because I thought I had to.

I’ve learned since then that the weight of leadership isn’t always visible, but it’s real.
And we don’t and shouldn’t carry it alone.

In this month’s substack article, I’m sharing a pivotal moment in my leadership journey that changed how I lead and how I live. If you’ve ever carried too much in the name of purpose, this one’s for you.

You weren’t meant to carry it all.

The exhaustion you feel? It’s not just fatigue—it’s your body begging to be heard. The grief you’ve buried? It’s love that hasn’t had space to be expressed. The anger? It’s fire waiting to burn away everything that no longer serves you.

At the WELL’treat, we’re creating space for you to lay it all down. No expectations. No pressure. Just deep rest, connection, and the kind of support that doesn’t ask you to be stronger—but invites you to be softer.

Your softness is just as powerful as your strength. It’s time to reclaim it.

If you’re feeling exhausted trying to juggle it all, your ambition, your responsibilities, your personal life, this is for you.

You’ve been pushing so hard to succeed, but at what cost? If you’re tired of feeling exhausted, we’re nurturing a community of women who are ready to prioritize self-care and reset their mindset so they can fulfill their purpose without the constant overwhelm.

Slow down and come spend a few hours with us on International Women’s Day next month. Listen to energizing conversations and take a breath in the company of other women who get it. It’s time to stop sacrificing your well-being for your goals. Let’s do this together.

There is a mental load women carry. It’s called the “third shift.”

It’s no surprise that work-life balance is such a common topic at women’s events. One of the ways i handled it was to stop orchestrating the details of what needed to happen for all people impacted by the hats I wear.

4 Truths Mission-Driven Women Need to Know to Be Authentic Leaders:
✨ 1. Your Story Is One of Your Superpowers
Your life experiences—both the triumphs and the challenges—have shaped you into the leader you are today. Every lesson you’ve learned, every obstacle you’ve overcome, has given you unique strengths. Too often, we downplay these gifts because of criticism or fear. But when you embrace your story and reclaim those strengths, they become the superpowers that set you apart.

Authentic leadership comes from owning your journey and using it to lead with confidence and purpose.

✨ 2. You Don’t Have to Do It Alone
Leadership isn’t a solo journey. Build your community and lean on your team. The strongest leaders know the power of collaboration and support.

✨ 3. Resilience is Built Through Routines
Sustainable leadership requires daily soul-care routines that nurture your well-being. Consistent habits keep you grounded and ready to face challenges with confidence.

✨ 4. Grace is as Important as Grit
While grit pushes you forward, grace sustains you. Lead with compassion—for yourself and others—and know that relying on God’s grace will carry you through tough seasons.

These truths remind us that authentic leadership is about more than just achieving goals—it’s about aligning your actions with your values, stewarding your gifts, and trusting in God’s guidance.

Which truth resonates with you most today? Let me know in the comments! ⬇️

There’s real power in investing in the educators, administrators, and support staff who make your institution thrive. 🌟

I had the honor of presenting to the dedicated team group of educators, administrators, and support staff from at @bellevuecollege, and their energy and commitment to growth was truly inspiring!

A special shoutout to Dean Hayes (@a.k.inspires) and the HSEWI kickoff planning committee for bringing @strongherme Coaching & Consulting in to facilitate this important work.

Your investment in your team is already creating a culture of collaboration, accountability, and success.
When leaders prioritize their people, they’re building more than just a team—they’re setting the foundation for a stronger, more resilient future.

Ready to empower your own team? Let’s connect and talk about how we can partner to bring this transformation to your organization.
