And just like that a one chapter closes, another one opens.

Thank you to everyone who got me through high school, especially my friends and family. You guys are my biggest supporters and I will always cherish all of you. I’m honored to not only have my friends but to be the 2025 Best Citizen at Utica High School. Again thank you to everyone, and for the last time this is Riley Baker signing out.

Dear Utica Bowling,
You have been such a major part of my life for the past 4 years. Starting off I didn’t know a thing about bowling, I just signed up because I was bored and needed the gym credit. That decision since then has been one of the greatest decisions of my life. I’ve seen this team grow from having 5 people and barely a boys team to now having 20 members, both boy varsity and jv, as well as having a girls varsity and jv. Watching this team grow has made me feel so happy to see the team grow as my time went by. This afternoon we had our Bowling LCL end of the year tournament and to say that it would be hard to leave bowling is an understatement. This year has been such a great year and I am so happy to say that I didn’t finish empty handed. I got 2nd team for boys jv and I will be receiving my 4 year varsity award! This was such a big part of my high school career and I will miss it dearly.
Sincerely, Riley Baker
(P.s. scroll to the end for a picture of sophomore me)

Tonight the feeling in the air was heavy. To win the MVL title we had to come out with a win. We knew we had it in the bag after our first baker game. Good job girls MVL CHAMPS!!!!
