"Straight hair isĀ considered ā€œrecessive.ā€ To put that in simple terms, that means that if one parent gives you two curly haired genes and the other parent gives you a pair of straight-haired genes, you'll be born with curly hair."

Black Folks Did Not Coexist w the Choctaw

This means the Amerindian Population existed as a genetic isolate for thousands of years. All Amerindian Populations possess Coarse Straight or Coarse Wavy hair. This is even true in Majority black populations like Guyana, Suriname, Trinidad and Tobago, the island of Dominica.

Does straight hair provide any selection advantage?

Straight hair seems to be a new trait in human evolution. It is associated with the newly emerged alleles in both the TCHH gene and EDAR gene. The distributions of these straight hair related alleles (see figure) support the hypothesis that our human ancestors had curly hair; the straight hair found in East Asians and Caucasians likely developed independently.

So what is so good about straight hair? It must provide some biological advantage for hair health. It has been observed that oily hair is typically straight and that individuals with both curly and oily hair are extremely rare. One theory is that the oils secreted into the hair shaft by the sebaceous glands can travel down the shaft of straight hair more easily.

Studies indicate that the G-allele of the SNP rs3827760 in the EDAR gene responsible for the East Asian hair type arose during the past 65,000 years, when early humans were migrating ā€˜Out of Africa’ into Europe, then Asia. During the Ice Age, thicker hair might have been advantageous to protect against the cold.

This is For You @kiowa_yesah The Womponoag and Some members of the Eastern Woodland Tribes may look "black" But, this is simply because of the presence of West African Genetics!

Paul Cuff is always considered mixed race. Every Credible Historic Source Recognizes this admixture @kiowa_yesah And No Source recognized an "Aboriginal" because that shyt is made up.

Cuffe had an indigenous mother and a Negro Father. This admixture indicates that the Negro was a separate a racial category from the "Indian"

Every Credible (and not Credible) historic source will recognize his paternal Akan ancestry, but most will explicitly state Asante Parentage. In conjunction with that most sources confirm Kofi is a name of Akan origin. And a few may simply say "West African"

Genetic heritage and native identity of the Seaconke Wampanoag tribe of Massachusetts

Sergey I ZhadanovĀ et al.Ā Am J Phys Anthropologist Ā

Abstract

The name "Wampanoag" means "Eastern People" or "People of the First Light" in the local dialect of the Algonquian language. Once extensively populating the coastal lands and neighboring islands of the eastern United States, the Wampanoag people now consist of two federally recognized tribes, the Aquinnah and Mashpee, the state-recognized Seaconke Wampanoag tribe, and a number of bands and clans in present-day southern Massachusetts.

Our results indicate that the majority of their mtDNA haplotypes belongs to West Eurasian and African lineages, thus reflecting the extent of their contacts and interactions with people of European and African descent. On the paternal side, Y-chromosome analysis identified a range of Native American, West Eurasian, and African haplogroups in the population.
